I bought this in hopes of matching another hunter light/fan I installed a couple years ago in our kitchen. Sadly, they no longer seem to make that model, but this was as close as I could get. I looked at a number of other brands as well, but none came close to giving me all the features and looks I wanted. I installed it myself following all the directions and it looks and performs wonderfully.
The only complaints I had:
1) It was missing a small rubber "foot" for the ceiling bracket, so I had to get inventive to make a matching one.
2) The universal remote was out of stock when I ordered, so I'm just ordering one now and will have to take the fixture back apart to install it when it arrives.

Will not work with other brand wall switches. You have to purchase both a Hunter fan wall switch along with their bridge.

Hunter fans are just the best. They're pricy, but silent, reliable and beautiful. Also they're so consistent - this fan I forgot to order the longer down-rod I needed for a sloped ceiling, but the brass down-rod from the hunter fan I was replacing (easily 20 years old) fit the new fan perfectly.
