The fan we purchased was replacing a Hunter fan from 1989. The light fixture broke on the original fan but the fan worked fine. The one thing I don’t like about the new fan is when you turn the lights on all four lights come on. The other fan you had the choice of two lights front to back, two lights side to side or all four lights at one time. The new fan has LED lights which are very bright, so if you need a lot of light in your room this fan gives it to you.

I like the fan but not the light bulbs that come with it as they are too white/cold looking at 3000k. I was able to find 2700k LEDs at a local hardware store to substitute. It's helpful to have two people to install this fan especially with high ceilings.

This was nearly identical to the 11-year-old fan I replaced because the light kit failed and was no longer available. I, a 67-year-old woman removed the old and assembled, wired and installed the new one using the existing box. The only issues I had were that I found the bottom cap on the light fixture rather difficult to install. The screw holes could be more accommodating for the provided screws. I also installed my old solid white globes. I need lots of light, but the provided bulbs were a bit harsh with the frosted ones provided.

I ordered this fan to match the one in kitchen and when I got it hunter changed the logo from nicecursive design to a printed on a plate. The pictures still show old logo like I wanted so it's not the fan you are getting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan has classic looks and yet reversible blades are a nice option. However the four lights at max 40 watts are too dim for our kitchen. Wish we could replace the light kit and use 60 watt bulbs.
