I was very excited about this product when I purchased. It has a lot of compartments; laptop and iPad area that are padded and separated. I moved internationally for Vet school and wanted to replace my old High sierra backpack because I will be here for 3 years and my old one had started to tear in a small place on the top. You can imagine my surprise when only 2 months into the semester, the pack rips! A giant chunk of the bottom portion of the laptop holder ripped at the seam and left a frayed edge...no way for me to sew it back together. Very disappointing! Now I am in another country and unable to get a replacement or any customer service. Wish I didn't leave my old backpack in the States!
Pros: Good Capacity
Cons: Poor Quality, Tears Easily, Weak Seams
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Bag for Travelers

I bought this TSA Backpack 10 years ago and it has traveled with me on every Journey since and it still has many more adventures. I've worn it in the Jungles of the Philippines to the streets of Europe and the beaches of South America not to mention the countless weekend get away and work trips and after all that its still in great condition!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to buy

I will use this as a briefcase for work, to carry note pads and computer when in the field. Best feature is the carry handle, but I like the ability to put it on my back when my hands are full. I was able to figure out a way to tuck the backpack straps into the elastic on the back of the pack to keep them from flopping around. My last High Sierra bag had concealed backpack straps but it is no longer made. The only thing I would add is a shoulder strap option for more flexibility.

5 Stars all the way.
Sometimes I had to carry 2 laptops (personal & work). It has plenty of space and easy to carry, fits perfectly below airplane seats.
