I've had my bag for 15 years. I use it daily at work. By my estimates it's been sitting on the floor board of an ambulance for over 4,000 12-hour shifts. I haven't had a single tear, seam rip, or zipper break. It's a little dirty and the elastic is stretching out on the side pocket. And it looks like the design has changed a bit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've purchased five of these in five years. Its got several compartments that make it easy to stay organized, and its a snap to go thru TSA with this bag..... all over the world.... no problems. There's a tendency to use ALL of the available space, which mean you can overload it fairly easily.. and over the course of just a few months, the straps start to fray, and the "durable" material starts to tear. Why do I continue to buy these? because I cannot find anything else in it's class. I've got a love/hate relationship with this product. Too bad they cannot make the thing just alittle more rugged... they'd have a winner!
Pros: Easy To Access Items, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity
Cons: Tears Easily, Weak Seams

I have had this backpack for years and it has served me well. I have taken it to Europe, Mexico and all over the U.S. It fits in the airplane overhead storage and even under some seats. What I like most is you can fit a decent amount of clothes, a pair of shoes and electronics to keep your man suitcase lighter. I highly recommend it as a travel companion.

Stylish but very fragile, avoid.

Very Stylish looking, but extremely fragile. Did not last more than 3 months before it started to fall apart. My previous high sierra backpack lasted more than 7 years.
Pros: Good Capacity, Stylish
Cons: Poor Quality, Tears Easily

Have similar version bag in black that I recently replaced after a seam ripped. A couple of uses and it ripped again! I’ll take a new one if High Sierra sends it to me but I’m done spending money on their products. Buy at your own risk!

I got this bag primarily to be used as my new backpack for college and it's AWESOME!! It has plenty of room for my books, notebooks and tech devices. Love the area for my Macbook Pro, its well padded and keeps my baby safe and dry. A neat feature is the ability for this bag to open like a book where it has extra space for my tablet and power cords, charge cables and chargers. This is the perfect bag stylish, light weight, durable and water resistant.

The mesh Side pocket is ripping off as soon as it arrived. Highly disappointed in the quality of High Sierra. Earlier I owned another backpack from HS that worked fine for 4 months before it started loosing from seams. So I bought this one. I have not USED it yet just put my stuff in, and I guess one of side pockets is of no use.
