oven not self cleaning/ stove works OK

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range because of your Whirlpool's reputation. Imagine my surprise when I found out that the self cleaning option referred to me and not the stove. The instruction book instructs me to clean the bottom of the stove first before using the aqua lift. And I have to clean the sides and door by hand without the help of any cleaning product. If this design is for environmental purposes it is a total failure. Whoever designed this aquas clean system doesn't know anything about using or cleaning an oven. If I hadn't paid so much money for this It would be in the trash.

"Run of the mill electric range"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Surface elements heat up "slowly", very "slowly". The glass top has a visible "delamination" showing thru top which is an obvious manufacturing defect and I expect the delamination to increase in size over time. The material of construction of the warming drawer is so light that I expect the warming drawer to warp and deform over a short period of time rendering the drawer inoperable.

Love the Range But ...

Bought this range in March of last year. Works good but starting about six months in we had issues with the control knobs. The metal insert that secures the control knob to the post breaks making it almost impossible to change temps or turn off the burner. Considering the cost of this range, one would think that a part that is used as often as a control knob would be of sufficient build quality to last several years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Control panel chrome is coming off

This range is a total Loser!

Our builder used Whirlpool and I chose this because for safety I wanted the controls in the front. I am someone who always reads & follows the manual and this is the 5th smooth cooktop that I have owned and never had an issue with use and cleaning. It has never come clean (I clean after each use) immediately scratched and always cloudy. Also use only the recommended cleaners. 3 of the 4 burners are impossible to regulate, it's always too low or like a blast furnace.
The oven aqua-clean technology is a total joke, only the bottom comes fairly clean and sides do not clean at all. In addition to that, the temperature fluctuates 25-50 degrees in either direction all through baking. The most disappointing appliance I have ever owned. I even called customer service to seek advice on cleaning, nothing helps.

Paint chipping on the top of range

The silver trim you see around the knob panel started chipping and fading only months after using this product. We had bought this house after it had been fully remodeled and all appliances replaced but unfortunately it was a snail paced market so the house sat for 9-12 months after being listened... this is not including the time it had taken them to remodel this house... The point of that story is that by the time it had started to chip away we could not return or i would have! The oven fan also gets very loud at times to where it makes me feel like the oven is going to quit on me.

Big oven and Big Glass Front

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the big glass front that allows you to see how the cooking is progressing. We have not tried all the features yet, like the melting portion of the stove, but will be utilized soon. The glass top gets dirty easier than the last one we had but is easily wiped off with a glass cleaner. Controls are easy to use. Not enough space at the bottom for pans, but it is a tradeoff for the large glass front and oven.
I would recommend this to a friend!
