Wonderful Stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove is exactly what we were looking for. Finger-print resistant stainless steel, controls near the front for our budding chef who's too short to reach controls on the back without burning herself on the stove, and easy to use touch-button oven controls and timers. Love the multiple racks in the oven and the easy to clean top. Perfect fit for our space, and the drawer/warmer is just enough for those flat oven pans.
Well worth the additional cost for an American made product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buyer beware

We bought our stove almost a year ago and I wish we had gone with a different model. I should have headed the warnings on the reviews but I really wanted a convection oven. We have had similar issues as others on this thread - there was a minor crack in the top plate when we received it but I thought I would just live with it since my husband had already installed it. However, it has not held up - the stainless "paint" is coming off all of the knobs and the area around the touch plate now looks like it was dragged behind a car. luckily, everything seems to work fine still but this stove looks horrible for a stove that is not even a year old and for the price we paid, it is not worth it.

Poor customer service, accessory trim pieces out of stock

Unlike my previous Whirlpool Gold slide-in range, the sides of cooktop on this range do not extend over the countertop; thus, there are unsightly 1/8" - 1/4" gaps between the sides of the range and the countertop which food and liquids disappear down. However, as part of their "Fit System Limited Guarantee," Whirlpool claims that they will send you trim pieces, free of charge, if you ask. Well, I've asked three times now. The first time, an order was placed, but the trim kit was never actually sent. The second time, white trim pieces were sent for my stainless steel range. The third time I was told they only had white trim pieces in stock. It's been two months now, and apparently I'll have to purchase the trim kit from a retailer for about $75 if I ever want to get it.

Do not recommend this range. Aqua-Lift self cleaning oven is worthless. It does not clean like a like the old self cleaning ovens. Stainless steel trim keeps peeling. Had it replaced twice and it still peels. The way the oven is vented, it makes kitchen very warm when baking. This is a very poor design. Burners are not a constant heat like the old electric elements.

POOR finish around controls.

Looks great at the showroom When in Normal household use the fake stainless finish peels away leaving a underneath surface that’s unacceptable. I asked the dealer who states the finish is not covered with warranty. So I live day to day until I feel I can afford to replace the stove with another Quality brand.

Paint between stovetop and knob bar coming off!

Within a year of owning this stove paint started coming off the edge of the knob panel. This is NOT from abuse - There are no indentations or scratches just finish gradually coming off. Included photo though it was hard to get a good angle due to flash would glare. Doesn't look exactly like it does in real life in the photo. :)
This raised panel with knobs on top is a huge negative. Everything you cook if it splatters even slightly covers that area and is extremely tedious to clean.
The stove top and the panel I just described above, after you clean you MUST use the dense sponge they included in the booklet packet otherwise it looks hazy. NEVER had that issue with any other stove before.
Of all the cooktops I've had in many of the houses I've owned over the years, this is the hardest cooktop to keep clean. One would think that'd improve, not get worse with technology. If it has Whirlpool isn't using it.
Fan is VERY noisy after oven has been used.
Would not even consider purchasing again. We'd bought as we went into retirement to have all new appliances...I'm ready to save money for a new one and donate this one!

We bought this, refrigerator, dishwasher & microwave 2 1/2 years ago. Expensive for what we received. The hardest part to clean is the oven.
