Faulty Stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time we used the stove top, it sparked and then would not turn back on. Called Electrician, and they said it is a fault stove.

What is that smell?!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: heats quickly, cooks food well, controls are easy to read and intuitive Cons: oven and cook top burners emit an offensive odor which smells like a burning electric element and which requires using the exhaust fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our Whirlpool freestanding double oven for 3 months. We got it because the previous LG double oven of 12 years was no longer holding an even temperature; baking 25 degrees below the set temperature and half the numbers on the motherboard (timer, temperature settings) no longer worked. The appliance repairman recommended Whirlpool. Now in less than 3 monthe, the "new" oven is cooking 25 degrees lower than the set temperature. Major: The top oven (the smaller, shorter in height) one we use 80% of the time is so short the two rack setting heights offered are either too low (bottom of banana bread burns) or too high, top of raised bread burns). Minor:The timer is a little awkward to figure out (you can only put in 2 digits (minutes), then it displays 4 digits ( minutes and seconds). Once you figure it out it's not a problem. It just is not intuitive. I definitely want a double oven and don't have space for a wall oven, but I would probably look farther and wider. The bottom oven has a convection cooking feature I don't know how to use. No instruction book came with the oven. (One reason the timer was awkward to figure out). The ability to access the warranty company online and schedule an appointment was easy. They have ordered a part and scheduled to install it next week, about 2 wks from my initial contact. Not bad for the last 2 wks of December.

Cook top died after just 5 months of owning

We bought this at the end of July 2024. Today, Christmas day, just 5 months after we bought it, while cooking Christmas dinner, the entire glass cook top stopped working. Every burner, mid cooking. We smelled a burning smell and the the burners shut off and would not go back on.
Do not buy this. It's junk. This should never happen. Certainly not after 5 months.
