Good but with issues

In the second year of ownership and so far I am pretty pleased with the performance of this oven. The only issues are the temperature deviations in the oven and most importantly had a stovetop control go to HIGH heat when turned off, a very dangerous situation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range is almost an exact replacement of one that lasted 20 years. There are a few upgrades to the stovetop that make it more versatile.

Enjoy the new range — then a major crack appeared

Love my new electric range

I dreaded the change because I’d never had one problem with my old range and it still cooked like it was new. But I’m so pleased with my new range. It would take a special appliance to replace my first love, but this one delivered.

The product is okay BUT!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stove works great but there was no instruction manual that came with the stove! So we have had to do the trial and error method of learning how the item works and preforms. You would think that after paying that much for a stove, the manufacture could at the very least include a manual with the oven! Being older and not have ever used a convection oven a manual would of been a great help!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range about two weeks ago. So far I’m happy with it. There are a couple things though. One is the range doesn’t have as much space in the back as my old range. I have an outlet box on my wall and when the cord is plugged in the range would sit out from the wall about 4”. To remedy this I had to remove the outlet box and splice the oven wire directly to the wire to the outlet. The only other option would have been to install a flush mounted wall outlet which would have required me to extend the wire going to the outlet box which would have been a lot more work. The only other thing was that it was difficult leveling the range. The plastic levelers fit kind of loose and don’t stay in position when you move the range in and out. Also, the range is very heavy and I found out it was easier to level if the doors are removed. They are very heavy also and I found the lower oven door difficult to remove. They went back in place rather easy though. I found the owners manual and quick start guide lacking any detailed instructions on the controls. The quick start guide said you could go online and find a control guide, but the only guides I could find were the same ones that came with the oven. When I tried to contact a Whirlpool customer service representative I found out that it’s virtually impossible, unless I’m doing something wrong. I finally gave up in frustration. I tried the chat mode, but I couldn’t get anybody. I checked my computer and someone did respond about an hour later. I’ve used Whirlpool products most of my life and I’m very happy with the way they hold up. But this is the first time I’ve ever had to contact customer service and I’m not getting a good feeling about the type of experience I had.
