[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like this stove/oven a lot. The only reason it's a four star is because we wanted to give a heads up to older adults such as ourselves because the bottom oven is low and requires some additional bending compared to the single oven stove. The other heads-up is you may have to move the stove receptacle because with a double oven it does not have the space for the receptacle, so to get it to go all the way to the wall may require additional expense of having an electrician move the plug for you. Also don't forget that you will lose the bottom draw for storage. Having said all that the positives are tons of features, quality and appearance. We use the top oven all the time for small items. You don't have to heat the big oven to do the majority of cooking in the oven. The other positive is on holidays having multiple items to cook the extra oven is so nice to have. We would recommend this to other people. Hope this helps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For some who are not familiar with this kind of range, it would have been very helpful to have an instruction for each part on how to use, not only hardware and installation information.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice range. I like that there are so many size burners. I wish they would include an owners manual or at least email a link to the manual

I think it's great, my wife...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I think this double oven range is great. Let's explain. First you have to understand , this was a gift for my wife for Christmas. We had purchased a Frigidaire Gallery oven that my wife was never super impressed with. (A salesman talked her into it. I learned a long time ago to keep my trap shut when it comes to stuff inside the home.) The Frigidaire had a fatal flaw. The bottom of the oven door had a black painted metal strip holding the glass panel of the oven door in place. This metal strip completely rusted creating a terrible looking oven as well as a tetanus risk. I decided to just get rid of the oven since my wife was never super happy with it anyway.
Now, I can review this range since I actually do a good portion of the cooking in our home. I do all of the holiday cooking and any cooking that requires a more complicated recipe. I actually really wanted a gas range (my wife said no because they are harder to clean.) I wanted an induction range (my wife said no be they are too expensive.) So here we are. I went through the reviews of the ranges looking for anything that was concerning. I started to rule out the Korean brands as I have owned two and was unimpressed with the longevity... Let's just say Gold Star appliances didn't get any better with a name change. (I'm still angry about the 3k I dropped on a fridge of theirs that blew three months out of warranty)
I had narrowed my search between GE and the Maytag line (Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid) I had assumed all the three American brands would be about the same since they were owned by the same company. As I found out, through the reviews, this is not the case. KitchenAid has some complaints about the blue oven coating coming off and flaking as well as improperly sealed top allowing moisture into the cooking element electronics causing shorting. Maytag and Whirlpool seemed to have more basic complaints. It came down to the fact that My wife didn't want the elongated griddle burner, so this eliminated the Maytag and GE Café. Once she had narrowed the search parameters we decided to pull the trigger on this Whirlpool double oven range.
What we did like about the Frigidaire was the rapid boil heating element. Well, the Whirlpool also has this feature, it just sits reverse of the Frigidaire. The Whirlpool setup is actually more convenient for us how our kitchen is set up. It also has the ability to heat 12 inch pans on the triple burner. There are also two small burners in the back as well as a rear center warming element. All the burners heat fast and the knobs seem very sturdy.
The thing we both like a lot is the double oven. The upper oven does not have convection, but since it is small, I don't think it matters much. The lower oven does have convection. Both ovens heat pretty evenly. The upper oven seems to have a warm spot in the back, but that should be expected as the metal heats. It really works great to cook using both ovens. I did a turkey in the lower oven slow roasting while I cooked rolls, green beans and yams in the upper oven for Thanksgiving. (Not at the same time of course). One draw back is the upper oven doesn't seem to be as deep as the lower oven. This only became an issue as a "take and bake" family size Pizza in the upper oven contacted the back wall. It all worked out, we just had to turn the pizza halfway through. The positive is that both ovens cooked at the same rate and evenly when doing things like pizza or cookies.
Now, my wife's complaints. She doesn't like the timer. It beeps once and then waits for a minute then beeps once again. She says it's a little quiet and so sometimes she misses that the timer beeped until the second or third time. Meaning she likes a more annoying timer. I don't have a problem with it, but that's the complaint. Also the timed cook setting she says is complicated and she doesn't understand it. Now she's not real tech savvy, so this doesn't surprise me. I told her to Google it, but she will probably just make me set it up if she ever uses it.
I don't really have a complaint as it wouldn't be fare for me to complain about something that was never offered. I wish the oven had a probe with all the probe settings. I miss that from the Frigidaire. This mainly came in handy when I smoked something like a brisket. I could smoke it hard and when I wrapped, I would stick it in the oven to finish cooking with the probe inserted. That way when it hit 203 internal, the oven would kick down the temp to keep it warm. This worked out perfectly as it was kind of a controlled rest while I got going and could pull it to stick in the cooler. (Hint: once you wrap there is no point in keeping anything on the smoker. It will not become smokier once it's been wrapped) This is probably not an issue for anyone else, but it would be nice to have the feature. I had read so many specs and reviews that I thought this one had that, but it may have been on the Maytag. Oh well. I like the oven. I have cooked a lot with it already and everything has worked out great. We will see when it comes to longevity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the previous model in 2014. I enjoyed my double oven so much during the holidays. I cook everyday. I started having issues with the top oven not heating up to the correct temperature. Since this oven was almost 10 years old I decided to buy a new one. I am so pleased with this brand. I always get 10 or more years out of my appliances. Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Microwaves, and Dishwashers. These appliances are made in the USA and this brand has a long history in my family. So far so good! my first purchase was when I was 22 and I am now 46. I hope to be a lifetime customer.
