No convection conversion. Mis-advertised.

Overall, this range is a good product. However, it advertises having convection conversion. Be aware that the range in fact does not do convection conversion. After months of going back-and-forth with whirlpool telling them that the range does not have convection conversion and asking them for guidance with over 25 interactions with them they sent me the definition of convection conversion over 15 times . Never actually researching my question about whether the oven had this function. Finally, I asked them to provide me detailed instructions on how to use that function with this oven. After a couple of weeks, they finally admitted that the oven did not have convection conversion. It baffles me that months later it is still advertised on their website to have convection conversion. Just be aware that it does not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought about a month ago to replace my Maytag Gemini. At showroom I liked that it would match my other whirlpool appliances and that it had a 12 inch cook top feature(still trying to master the controls on varying size burners). Unfortunately I failed to notice that the toasting in top oven was not available (now I have to put toaster back on limited counter space), and that the Hot Surface light was not ON surface but on control panel. Two design features that I think would be great to consider in future design specs. Also-two ovens should have two timers-upper and lower. I guess it’s just getting used to something new- but some tweaking in functionality would have made it 5 star!

takes forever to preheat upper oven

takes 25-30 min. to preheat upper oven, wish I'd kept my old stove and never bought this one, oven is dirty after every use/smokes when in use horrid horrid stove and oven

Doesn't hold up well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cook top surface is scratching from normal use, and cleaning. Small bubbles were forming in the black coating on the cooktop surface. The top oven is small, so you can only cook a tray of cookies, or small crock dish. The bottom is normal size, but doesn't cook anymore evenly than my old stove. This stove cooks from the top, rather than from the bottom like most ovens. You have to remember to push the convection button, or it doesn't cook well at all. Not very impressed, the convenience of having two ovens is nice, but the cooktop surface is not gonna last at all! Hey should've been able to provide a better cooktop surface.

Somewhat disappointed however two ovens are great

Dur to clouds on cooktop and it’s only 3wks since I bought it and have been extremely careful about spilling and cooking on high temp. I’ve also used the recommended cleanser and shine product. I clouds see if the range was several yrs old but it’s brand new. Is there anything that can be done about these clouds. Is it a flaw and does it come worm with the glass. Are they removable? Other than that I love the smaller oven since we’re only two of us so I don’t need to use the larger over.
I would recommend this to a friend!
