Fantastic stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Whirlpool double oven because I fell in love with the one my mom had. I love that each oven can be used simultaneously and at different temperatures for different foods. I love the glass cooktop with the different size burners that accommodate various size pans and the warming area is a wonderful feature if a food is finished a little too soon. The stove is so versatile. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Defective range (thermostat)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a range about 2-3 weeks ago. when they deliver it to meet appeared to operate okay. However, the surface hot line remained on despite the burner cooling down. It was difficult getting whirlpool to authorize a technician to fix the problem even though it was under warranty. the technician came out and eventually determined it needed a new thermostat and had to order a part to fix it. I still have not had my range fixed and it is brand new.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Need user guide.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy my new Whirlpool Range. I just have one complaint. I wish that I could find a user manual to tell me how to use the different functions. Such as setting the timer and cook time. I have the owners manual but it does not tell you how to operate the stovetop functions.

Great for now-but wouldn't buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I am very happy with my oven, there are two annoying factors that I am disappointed with. Nothing game changing, but I wouldn't buy another one because of them. First, the oven has an automatic shutoff which is nice for most things EXCEPT baking cookies. I bake cookies a lot so everytime the cookies are done the oven shuts off and I have to reset the temp all over again for the next batch. Or worse, my cookie or cake isn't quite done yet and needs a few minutes more so I'll have to reset the oven all over just for that. I wish there were some sort of delay shutoff option because it just isn't practical. Nobody bakes just one pan of cookies and stops.
The second annoying feature is that the bottom oven is low.. Very low. I have to bend over to my toes to get things out or on my knees to adjust racks. It's fine now while I'm still young but I see this as a real potential no go as I get older. For that reason I plan on replacing it eventually with something more practical.
For what it is and for my families needs right now, it works great. Multiple people in the house need timers and ovens and stove tops for different reasons and that's just where my family is at. A month in and in spite of my daily cleaning, the glass is already scratched. I bought a cover for the stovetop almost immediately after getting the stove but I was prepared for it to happen eventually. My favorite feature by far is that the double oven-makes dinner go so fast! I don't have any issues with heating or the burners being slow. There isn't any manuel with it so it's been a learn as you go experience.

SO DISAPPOINTED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an avid baker and am thinking of starting my own baking business and when I found this oven it made me so happy.
I am extremely disappointed in this oven. The oven doesn't heat up to the displayed temperature. Many items I baked didn't come out and sadly, I thought my baking business dreams were lost. I went out and bought an oven thermometer and discovered when my oven was set at 350 the actual temperature was between 260 and a very few times 350. However, when it was at 350 the temperature would drop between batches of baked goods. When I called Whirlpool I was told this was a safety feature - really?! And that I needed to calibrate the oven, which didn't work.
I am awaiting a service technician to come out and hopefully fix it.

Nice addition to my kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this oven and stove a few weeks ago. I had a very similar model prior to this, which I also loved. Operating this equipment is simple and it heats up very quickly. I love the clean look of the stove top. The only difference between this new stove and the older model is the on and off switches on the new model. These switches are very light and feel not well made. Also, I cannot see the indicator on these switches to quickly notice which setting they are on. I may have to paint them with red nail polish so I can quickly see what setting they are on.
I would recommend this to a friend!
