I'm having trouble with the lock box getting stuck. I'm trying to use it for the first time but am afraid to put my valuables in it since it wont easily lock and unlock. It looks stable and strong, it's just what I was looking for. The lock jams each way. This safe is very important to me. I've had it a few months but just now opened the box after gathering all my valuables, important papers and bills so now I'm stuck without safekeeping. I have a big worry on my shoulders concerning the safety of my valuables. What can I do to make this key box function. Please help and quickly. I'm exposed.

Plastic locks & products not well made

We bought this and within the first year of using it, opened it maybe 3-4x. The lock stopped working after a couple x, the plastic lock cheaply made. Then over the next year or two since (my mother in law has had it about 2-3 years but she doesn’t access it bc we take care of her paperwork), I’ve opened it maybe 3x each year, the last time I opened it the ENTIRE lid just came off. White powder falls out of where the lid was attached to the base. This product is cheaply made, didn’t last, and does not keep her things secure. Even if the lock worked still, it opens right up in the back. I would not recommend this company’s products, at least any products that are made out of plastic. This one is my mother in laws. My husband and I have a file drawer style same brand and I can’t lock it. My husband has to, it’s plastic too…
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A solid chest that is plenty roomy for passports, thumb drives, travel docs and a few fat stacks of cash. Wanted not so much for anti-theft (obviously) but for the fire and waterproof capabilities.
