I love this SentrySafe fireproof and waterproof safe! I haven’t had the unfortunate luck to check out either of these properties…thank God! I read sooo many reviews on it before purchasing the safe. I was seriously concerned about the pressing down on the lid for opening and closing of the safe. The first time I tried to open it on the foot of our bed. That wasn’t a good place to try! Once I placed the safe on the counter which is a hard surface, I had no trouble at all opening and closing it! (I hope it stays that way!) I would definitely recommend this safe to anyone in the market for one. This is our third SentrySafe. This and my first one are my favorites. The 2nd one is such that when you open it, the keyhole is in the lid and you can’t pull the key out in the open but locked position. I just leave the key in until I’m done in the safe, but the key is on a ring that has a copy of a key to everything we own that requires a key, so it’s heavy! I love that the key to this 3rd one can be removed in the locked or unlocked position! I wouldn’t buy a safe from any other brand…I tried that once…what a horrible mistake!

Not very happy with my box

I bought this box about six months ago and when I went to go in at the other day the front fell off of it. I thought it should have lasted longer than six months

It might be fire safe but if the lid falls off what good is it.
