Every time I close mine since the first time the latch gets jammed and it is nearly impossible to open.

I bought this safe two years ago, and go into it minimally, maybe once a month. I recently went to open it and the button was broken. My husband jammed a knife into the button to force it up enough that we finally got it to unlatch. We closed it again (after emptying everything) and the same thing happened. I called and this type of safe conveniently only has a one year warranty. The fact that a two year old, barely used safe, just dies like that is garbage. Don’t waste your money.
