Causes a headache everytime I open it

I’ve had this box for several years and while it does it’s job, it’s too difficult for me to get open when I need to retrieve things out of it. I usually resort to having to search YouTube or the product manual here on their website to make sure I’ve got the lock turned the correct direction and that I’ve not forgotten the steps to open, but nothing usually works… until it finally does work just out of the blue even though you’ve done that exact same thing 1000 times. for example, I’ve just spent an hour to an hour and a half trying to open this box. I had the key and I unlocked the lock. I tried pressing down on the lid while pulling up on the latch but apparently I was not pressing down enough or pressing the latch just right. After the entire time I’d been trying to open it, it finally just popped right open when I did the exact same thing I’d been doing the hour and a half prior… this safe is frustrating and every time I try to open it, I end up in tears and/or cursing a blue streak because I can’t get whatever important document I need out. Now that it’s unlocked, I don’t plan to even close the lid all the way. Hopefully, Ill be able to sell this box to someone else and purchase something different.

I got this safe to store most important docs and few pieces of jewelry. I read reviews before buying it and was not sure if everything will fit, so I was pleasantly surprised. Same with locking up the unit- before opening the safe, I watched the video and then followed the instructions to open the safe and to close it - did not have nay challenges. So far so good !
