Poor lock construction and worse key

Lock is tough to lock/open. Must push down decent amount (more than expected for a quality safe). Key broke off in lock on our move…thank God it broke when opening, not locking. Well see if Sentry Safe gives a refund…i will update with customer service result good or bad.

Do not purchase this safe. I safe would not open. I contacted them they told me how to open it. Place this safe on the floor and turn the key and press on the release button. Opened. Now it will not lock. This was a total waste of money. New safe not working properly and who want to repeat the process to open it every time I wanted to open it if it could lock.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely garbage design. Not only does the key not unlock the box, a screwdriver and a hammer do in about 10 seconds.

We’ve only had this safe for about a month, but so far it is doing exactly what we need—keeping our important documents secure. It is a little taller than I expected so keep that in mind, especially if you plan to keep the safe under a bed or somewhere else with low clearance.
