I'm very pleased with this tv. So much so, that I haven't bothered to mess with the settings, just change the presets, which work excellent. I spent hours trying to get my 2016 samsung 4k hdr tv to look good and not hurt my eyes with it's overly bright sdr and washed out hdr. Unfortunately i could never get it to look good and not cause eye strain and dizziness.
This time around, after spending a little extra than intended on a brand known for image quality, happiness has been achieved for me with this tv. No more eye strain and headaches, just a beautiful picture to enjoy. Will be buying only a Sony tv from now on.
Super happy with this purchase. I was torn between a Samsung and a Sony and I’m very pleased with the sony. Super easy to navigate and has everything I need
Although I’ve only had the TV for about a week it is a huge improvement to what we had before. Loving the picture and how easy it is to use.
Couple points to make. Wish the remote was RF instead of IR and I wish it was easier to plug in HDMI cords when the tv is hung on the wall. The HDMI ports on the back of the tv are recessed which make it a little difficult.
Bluetooth communication is really bad. The connectivity is with Sony devices only. If you want to connect to let say a Bose speaker or any other brand the software won't allow it. I already confirmed with Sony customer service.
You should be aware that if you have a problem and your warranty has expired you will be forced to throw the equipment out. $3500 for a 75" set that only lasted 19 months and now it's garbage should never happen. Sony does not care to help in any way. They have no authorized service anymore. It's sad and pathetic. Don't do what i did. Just buy from any other manufacturer.
The TV is great in all ways except input options. My older DVD player does not have an HDMI interface, only L/R Audio and Composite Video. The TV has a single 4 conductor mini-phone jack that requires an adapter/cable to connect this type of older equipment, but it is not supplied with the TV. There is no mention of this issue on the box. Unfortunately, Best Buy does NOT carry the required adapter or cable in-store (available online only). It would be a small "extra" for SONY to include that item, but it would allow the purchaser to use the TV as soon as it is set up and not require a separate trip to a competitor electronics shop, or a multi-day wait for an online purchase and delivery.
