We had this unit installed just 2 months ago and it was operating just fine until it just shut down. The entire control panel is unresponsive and the unit does not function.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you haven't already done so, please reset your circuit breaker in your home that provides power to your appliance. This will often reset the internal circuitry within the microwave. You may also want to try plugging another small appliance into the microwave outlet to be sure it is working well. The outlet is located in the cabinet above the microwave.

Don't buy

This is the microwave that the builder supplied as a UpGrade to our UpGraded Kitchen. This microwave makes no sense. It takes more steps to do anything & who has a dial on their microwave. It looks old & its noisy. I can't stand it!

Works Great with features

The microwave works great and like the BT features with the stove (Chief Connect) and was limited to the type of MW due to venting options as we need a recirculating type vs vented. The only thing we are not a fan of is the dial to select a time, you cannot type in your time but have to hit cook, turn the dial to the selected time (Starts at 15sec) so no 10sec, hit the dial to set the time then hit start.. Lots of steps to do to cook.. I find myself just hitting the +30 and starting it then stopping it if I only needed a short time. Other than that everything else is good!

This microwave has all the features you would expect and works very well. The fact that you have to turn the knob to set the time is a bit burdensome and I miss being able to just type in the time.

Great Product

I bought this to replace my still working 18 year old GE microwave. I replaced it just to update the kitchen look. The dial to set the time is a great feature. The lights underneath are bright. The new microwave fit right in place. I was even able to use the mounting bracket from the old GE microwave. I just had to drill two new holes for the mounting bolts as they were in different locations.

Heats food well, confusing till you learn how to operate this microwave, quality is mediocre, cost is high. Doing the job, liked my old one better.

Good so far. Miss the numeric keypad!

This replaced a 36" model JVM3670SF. Installation went OK; issues had nothing really to do with the unit or the filler kit for the sides. Looks good. This model is only 1000W whereas the old one was 1100W. The difference has been apparent in cook times. The old one had a numeric keypad that gave quick access to express cook times. The new one has no such keypad and requires multiple actions to enter cook times. The dial entry works, but a numeric keypad makes custom time settings easier. If I had it to do over, I'd look more carefully for one with the numeric keypad. GE does make them. Recommend with reservations.

A man designed this microwave. No woman would have designed a microwave with an uneven floor that is so hard to clean. Buttons are hard to push. Too much work for a simple 30 second warm up. Would never buy again
