More efficient than the model it replaced

This replaced the one that came with out new home purchase. This is just the newer version but seems to more efficient then the older one

Buyer beware - broke in less than two weeks

Bought this microwave to replace a 6 year old Whirlpool because light under the Whirlpool failed and couldn't be fixed. Used my new microwave lightly - mainly boiling water and heating frozen veggies - for 11 days. Went to boil some water in a Pyrex measuring cup and after a minute realized that while the microwave was running, it suddenly sounded much more quiet. Got worried and opened the door at which point the display and all the lights went out. Checked the breaker and the outlet; both are fine.
Needless to say, I will NOT be replacing this one with another GE!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Upgraded Previous Microwave - Satisfied

After my 15 year old GE Microwave could not be repaired my home warranty company replaced it with the GE Profile Series one. It is working just fine, at the moment. Looking for many years of exceptional service.

Nice upgrade

Recently replaced an older ge profile with this model. Couldn’t be happier with easy installation and configuration for the space. New led lighting and steam cleaning are amazing.

Another poorly made product by GE

This microwave worked great until it didn't. Less than two years old and it's broken. Just like the dishwasher and the dishwasher before that and the dishwasher before that. Planned obsolescence is a plague on humanity and manufacturers should be ashamed of themselves for participating this sham. 1 year warranty....or you can buy our extended warranty for more money. How is it that my Grannys appliances built in 60's and 70's are still functional and our new modern appliances have to be replaced every two years or have major repair work done????

Exactly What We wanted

We had a GE Cafe over the oven microwave we purchased in 2009 and loved it.held up for 13 years without a single maintenance call. We're older now and don't need a new cafe. the profile gives us everything. We're happy and being stainless steele it fits right in wit our GE Cafe gas range we also purchased in 2009 and still using.
