Works as designed

No problems with workmanship and quality of the product, provided by builder. However, the oomph is missing with this model. Heating a pot of water takes forever and never reaches a vigorous boil. Add pasta and you're lucky to get a boil within the prescribed time cooking time. So frustrating. The flame pattern spreads into too big a radius, heating the side of the pot as well, nothing in the middle area where immediate heat is desired. Use a smaller flame and it just doesn't heat up quickly enough due to less output.
Frigidaire, is there a way to update the cooktop with different flame patterns (multiple flame rings)?

I’m disappointed to learn you’re not getting the most optimal performance from your cooktop.
Based on the details you provided, it seems you may need to rethink what each burner’s job does.
The center burner (POWER) is best used for bringing large quantities of liquid rapidly up to temperature or when preparing larger quantities of food. Your upper right burner (SIMMER) is best used for simmering delicate sauces, etc. and the remaining burners (STANDARD) are best used for most surface cooking needs.
Did you know? When switching your gas range to liquid propane gas it lowers your cooktop BTU power output.

Good functioning gas cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop came with the new home I purchased. It works quite well, but it is not ergonomically useful if you like to use a griddle like I do. The knobs are placed such that if you put a griddle over two burners (the left two or the right two), it will touch the knobs and the knobs become hot. Standard griddles are not long enough to cover the back two burners. Bummer.
