Uncolored Clear Sound

I purchased the 305P's for recording guitar, bass and vocal tracks at home. I'm new at recording and I needed affordable monitors. These speakers are perfect for my needs. Uncolored, clear sound. It is remarkable how the layers of tones can be heard separately. I'm very happy with the JBL's.

Love them (when they work)

Had these for years as my main "home studio" monitors and I love them. Solid, consistent budget monitors. However in the last year or so the speakers will randomly shut off (usually related to a power surge) and refuse to turn back on for several hours.
When they work, they're great! But this one issue keeps coming up and I haven't been able to find a solution, so I have to drop the rating to reflect that.
