My fiance will only use otter box defender cases. Unfortunately, I bought this for him before the Note 7 phone was discontinued. Now I have a $60 case and no phone. However, we will be buying another defender for his replacement phone.

I bought this the day it was released. It definitely protects the phone. What I don't like is that the screen protector is raised off the screen, in which makes it more difficult to work the screen as well as the screen is starting to release itself from the case.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
