Quality fridge

We bought this fridge to replace the same model (but over 12 years old). That fridge is in the garage, keeping the beer and dog food well chilled. I appreciate that GE refrigerators are now made in the U.S. and not Mexico.

Great features, a little small

We built a new house and it came with GE appliances. This refrigerator looks nice, the ice machine/water is great (love the crushed ice feature) and it's easy to use. My only complaint is the size of the actual refrigerator compartment seems very small.

This Refrigerator

For starters this machine is very noisy. Counter top depth so it is in a confined space. Makes an annoying buzzing sound when the compressor turns on and then a humming sound. For energy efficiency the unit runs very often. Inside the freezer, the shelves are open the front so food just falls out when you move things around. Ice maker is ok but also noisy. Shelves on the frig side are not spaced properly so you need to make a lot of adjustments for different height containers. Not the value for the money that I expected from a GE product.

Unhappy Overall

This product was put in our new house brand new by the builders. I couldn't be more unhappy. Every time we shut the fridge door the freezer pops open. It isn't obvious and if you don't pay attention the freezer remains open. I lost a great deal of very valuable breast milk because it popped open overnight and the freezer contents thawed.

Freezer and inside refrigerator too small

This refrigerator came with our new town home, so we did not have a choice in the model. This model is way too small even for two people. It also makes a squeaky noise when you open the doors. The repairman said it was because it is on rollers and I can buy something that goes on or in front of the rollers. I think the repairman should have the product on his truck to fix it.
