I did a kitchen remodel and wanted to free up space and make the kitchen look larger. I bought this counter depth refrigerator to accomplish this and it truly meets my needs. It is large enough to accommodate all my fresh and frozen foods without any problem. It was quick and easy to install. It moves easily on the rollers. I can keep it clean without any problem using a stainless steel cleaner. And it's nice having a working ice and water dispenser for a change.

It took a couple of days for the icemaker to get to running properly. It was very slow at first. I think it is very quiet. Overall, very happy with it. Bought it 2 months ago.

This refrigerator is not anywhere near the quality of its predecessor. It still says GE but is not the quality I had come to expect. Do not buy this unless you can see it for yourself. The doors don't want to close; the icemaker throws ice onto the floor and you can't remove the ice holder to fill an icebucket; the interior space is smaller than the previous model; the handles are fat and ugly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I replaced a previous GE appliance (my sister has the previous one now and she could not be happier!) with this one primarily to update my kitchen with stainless. I needed a counter depth refrigerator and my old one is GE so I did not look at many others knowing this brand and it's reliability for the cost. It's running like a champ and looks great; albeit, I am still adjusting to stainless and the prints that come with it:) I would purchase it again so I would recommend it to anyone assuming they do not have a large family with lots of kids:) as you will need a bigger refrigerator.

Downsized to a cabinet depth model. Inside is not well designed. While shelves are adjustable, you lose substantial storage on the freezer and refrig top shelf sections. This is due to poor design with internal components hanging down in the middle. Also no way to get ice out of the ice maker from the freezer with out removing the entire ice maker. Freezer storage is further limited by small shelving...refrig is 27 inches deep yet shelves are less than 14".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
