Almost perfect

My only issue is the small freezer compartment. It cools well. Due to my kitchen's size restrictions, this was the largest one which would fit. It replaces a Profile which was slightly bigger.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This side-by side is quiet and has convenient ice and water in the door. Open doors do not block aisle if you have a narrow kitchen. The freezer is very narrow so we're unable to store wide items such as pizzas.

very loud compresser--buzzing sound

When the compressor comes on there is a very loud buzzing sound that is irritating. GE Service came out and serviceman indicated that all the new ones do this. I went in to where i purchased and the exact one there did not have this buzzing noise. I am not happy at i am going to have to live with this the rest of my life. My rating of this appliance will change if they get this problem corrected. This is not just the normal sound of a compressor when running, this is a specific buzzing noise that is loud. In addition, the crisper and meat drawers do not slide in and out smoothly. I have to wiggle them to get them to go in and out. They are not smooth opening and closing. But this is minor compared to the noise the compressor produces.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Door seal is loose from door, excessive noise, freezer space layout is poor. And more noise!

Big ice maker, clean lines.

Purchased this refrigerator when we up graded our kitchen. We selected GE because we still had a fridge that is 22+ years old and still functions perfectly. It will be the extra fridge in the basement! We love the big ice maker and that was one of the main reasons we selected this model. I am well pleased so far with the space provided especially the space for cans in the door. The temperatures have stayed constant so far. The ice and water dispenser has performed well. I like the adjustable shelving with this model as well.
