Just what we needed!

This fridge works well for us. A large refrigerator section, providing an incredible amount of storage for those things we use everyday. Brightly lit, spacious, and well organized. The freezer portion is small, but works for us as we are a fresh food family (and we have a separate upright freezer). But freezer is just the right size for those frozen waffles, ice cream containers, and frozen berries.

I can see why this model is no longer being manfactured because of the excessive noise which in the FAQs says it is normal. Also the door seals sweats and leaks down to the freezer door which in turn creates ice on the freezer door. And the fridge is level and the doors are adjusted properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This refrigerator opens to a great view and has easy access to all the food and contents. I don't have to bend over or search for what I am lookig for. The light, shelf space and overall storage capacity is just outstaning!

Love my new refrigerator. I was a worried about a noisy icemaker but you can not even hear it and the refrigerator is also very quiet. Great purchase!

Not for cooks...

We bought just a month ago, and we wish we would have purchased a single door refrigerator and bottom freezer. Good for bev's and condiments, not good for cooks who appreciate their leftovers. Unless we need a condiment or a drink, both doors need to be opened simultaneously, making it difficult to retrieve dishes. Both doors also need to be opened when a dish is placed onto a shelf. Looks are great as is the internal lighting. Shelving needs to be reconfigured as the lowest bracket slots for the shelves do not allow the bottom shelf to sit flat rendering it unusable. Additionally, the internal water feature is hard to dispense- again both doors need to be opened, and moth-in-laws need both hands to hold the glass and push with another hand with a very limited amount of space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The freezer is small badly organized

I got this fridg through my builder so I didn't have much choice. Although I love all other GE appliances I got this one is not great. The freezer is small, there is no organization and you have to stack everthing on top of each other. The water filter works great but in an aquared place inside the fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
