We will see how long with no repairs, this KitchenAid is the same as my Amana that died after 8years, MayTag, Amana and KitchenAid made my Wirlpool, basiscally the same refrig with a few changes here and there...

Lots of room in both sections. Ice/Water in the door models take up too much room and this is the better option for me. Love the freezer on the bottom. You are in your refrigerator 80% of the time so why stand on your head for that long.

We purchased this refrigerator replaces a Jenn-Air French Door unit JFD2589KES which had an almost identical design. We like the layout because it maximizes accessibility while fitting into a limited enclosure in our kitchen. We don't like the models with the external water/ice dispenser because they take up too much storage space in the door and interior of the refrigerator. Minor enhancements like LED lights and lighter doors were also appreciated.

Big and roomy intelligent design. I like the water dispenser inside the refrigerator portion and the large ice tray for the automatic ice maker in the freezer. Took a while to get used to the "flap" on the left refrigerator door which I believe is there to provide better sealing for the door, but don't even notice it now. Flexibility of shelf adjustments in the refrigerator is a plus. Runs very quietly and maintains temperatures accurately.
