Great Features - Spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this two months ago and love it. It is large enough to hold many items in the doors and has a well designed interior, with a movable shelf on one side to accommodate tall items.

Best Refrigerator

Amazed at the capacity of the refridgerator and freezer! We don't use the ice maker feature:
1) we don't use ice enough to justify its use; 2) I don't like the notion that water will be sitting
in the tubes between uses. Sans ice maker--everything about this fridge/freezer is great!
I esp. like the crisper drawer, veg. keeper and cheese keeper.

contains major flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased 1 month ago. Have found 2 major issues so far (can be even 3, 3rd one have not tested):
1) when someone accidentally flips the panel secured to the left door which works as a sealant between two doors and contains a heater inside, then left door does not go into the rails on top, preventing right door to close completely too; then the door open sensor (which I assume is magnetic based) does not alarm since doors are almost closed (the gap is 0.5 cm perhaps). After several hours the temperature riched 14 degrees Celsius (58 F) and nobody noticed anything, except all the food products inside.
2) the top rail guide for the left door flip panel has a very sharp vertex; once I reached deep inside the fridge to get something from the shelf and hit my head to that vertex. Painful sculp injury it caused.
3) I suspect the freezer door does not have an alarm if left unclosed (my child constantly opens it but does not always close it completely)
For such high price this appliance could have been tested better and be better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our three children all moved out after college, but when they got married and returned with grandchildren for family dinners, we found our refrigerator was much too small. Searching for condiments past the leftovers required us to unload the various shelves, just to find one item. Our new 25 cu ft. KitchenAid has been one of the greatest home decisions we have made over the course of our 33 years of marriage. I love the freezer on the bottom, with the "slide in" top drawer. My husband and I are both tall, so not having to bend over every time we open the refrigerator is a major "plus" for us. Milk and juice on the door leaves so much valuable space in the inner body of the appliance, and my fruits and vegetables remain fresh for a seemingly endless period of time. To top it all off, everyone who sees our KitchenAid refrigerator for the first time comments on the exterior color. The steel black is so totally different from every other refrigerator! We love our new addition to the kitchen!!
