Was waiting at the door for the store to open. They had two in stock and I bought them both. One for me and the wife. Really nice to be back on a Blackberry. Phone is really fast and beautiful. Welcome back BlackBerry!

It's been a long time since I've been excited about a cell phone, let alone a blackberry. However they really did a great job incorporating the best of BB into the android OS. They didn't overdose the stock OS with unless apps or shortcuts like Samsung.
In summary I highly recommend this phone; you will not be disappointed.

This great phone combines Blackberry quality and security with the most popular OS system, which offers great application pool. Unbeatable combination. Plus a physical keybord if you wish.

By combining the best of Blackberry's patented security and productivity tools with the ubiquitous Android Operating system, Blackberry has succeeded in producing a great Android phone for working professionals who actually need to get stuff done!

Blackberry and Android

I purchased this phone on Friday evening of release day, and I am happy to say I got the last one. Seems like there is some movement on the phone, which is a good thing.
I will admit I am a BB Fanboy. I purchased a Z30 and have been using it on the ATT network for the past two years. I really like BB10 and it features, but if no one is buying, why keep trying. My phone was starting to get long in the tooth.
The full android support for apps is nice, not having google services in BB10 even though we could load Android apps. The ones that I use heavily, Pandora and Waze, operate much better in native android.
I still try to wake the phone up with Gestures and miss the contact management that was in BB10. BB built the FB, Twitter and Linkedin apps for it, and was able to consolidate that in one view of my contacts. I am sure eventually I will get there with the PRIV.
The phone is a beast, battery life is not quite as long as the specs say, but I used it heavily and my screen is usually at the highest display level.
The hardware as usual for a BB is impressive. The Samsung and iPhone always feel cheap to me, this phone fills your hands.
The back camera is impressive and I really do not care about the front camera as I do not take selfies, but it is adequate for any BBM or Skpe calls I may make.
With BB10 I used BB Blend A LOT, and it was not ready at the release of the phone but I have been told soon.
Also it has Android Lollipop but Marshmallow is coming after the first of the year.
This is after three days, I will revisit in a month or so.
Great phone, give it a try.

EXCELLENT!!!

I must say its a great phone, and for the people that gave negative review due to it not running os 10, well look at it this way, blackberry had 2 choices, change their os and save the company, or keep doing what they were doing and end up like Palm. this phone may give RIM the come back they need to survive!

Best phone I've owned to date

I'm a longtime BlackBerry user. I recently switched to a Samsung galaxy and hated it. That phone did everything a BlackBerry couldn't, but that couldn't make up for the fact that it wasn't a BlackBerry (Hub, keyboard, superior sound, etc). This phone is the perfect balance. Android will never be as good as BlackBerry 10 but since nobody wants to support BB 10 this will have to do.
The keyboard took a while to grow on me but now I use it for any long messages. If it's just a quick reply or quick search I'll use the onscreen keyboard which is the best out there. If I need to actually converse I'll drop out the keyboard.
