Finally, a Blackberry to keep up with others. Long term Blackberry user...upgraded form a Torch to the Priv and NO regrets at all. App selection is great through Google Store. Sound with Pandora is excellent. Love the slide out keyboard and the on screen touch with "swipe a word". Excellent Phone and well worth the monthly "next" charge. Battery life is good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Phone

I've had this about two months now and I'm loving it. The android functionality is a great thing. Blackberry has always lacked in apps. All apps work smoothly, so far. If I ever had a problem with an app, there would be an update to it not long after I discovered it, and would be fixed. Love the Blackberry Hub. It's not the same as what it used to be, but you still have all your messages in one place.
The only thing I can complain about is that the battery gets hot. Mostly, only when I'm playing games, which is to be expected, I suppose.
Overall, I love the phone, and how Blackberry smoothly integrated Android.

Very disappointed

I have owned my Priv for about 3 months now, coming from a Passport. I have been a Blackberry fan for a long time and I was very excited about the android OS. Well... unfortunately I am very disappointed and here is why: - Battery life is awful. As a bower user, I was used to my full day (and beyond) experience with the PAssport. The PRIV runs out of battery by mid afternoon. Awful. - Slow and Glitchy. Terribly slow... as soon as you have afew things open, performance becomes a real issue. I have to restart the device every couple of days because it hangs... - Camera is slow at focusing. By the time it focuses, you lost the moment. - Blackberry hub on android is not as nice as on Blackberry10. - Physical keyboard is nice but the top raw of buttons is too close to the body of the phone and this makes it hard to type - On screen keyboard sucks. Period. Overall I am very disappointed and I do not recommend this phone. I so wish BBRY could figure out a way to run BB10 while at the same time give you access to the android marketplace.

I held on to my torch waaaay longer than I should have. Because I loved the slider. This is the phone I always wanted. The only thing I would change is the location of the off button. Love love it.

I have had this device for a couple weeks - I am already addicted! I have my old keyboard back and fell into my old habits! But I am so glad to keep all my Android functionality which I've also learned to love. This is the perfect marriage - I love it!

Upgraded from BB Bold to BB Priv

As a loyal BB fan for many years, I looked forward to the new Priv with Android. The Priv operates similar to most iphones however the Priv has a BB hub. Biggest problem I had was transferring the phone number contacts from the Bold to the Priv. It can NOT be done.... I tried very option suggested at no avail. Email contacts are easily transferred with a gmail link and photos can be uploaded by downloading to your laptop and coping the folder to the Priv. But I had to manually add in the phone contacts. My calendar moved over automatically upon activation however the incorrect time zone changed all the appointment times. Most standard iphone apps are available or a similar. Andy could be Siri's sister. After days of tweaking and verifying my personal information ... so far I am pleased with the Priv.

I still have my BlackBerry Passport, but the Priv is by far the best BlackBerry I've owned. Great features and the keyboard is amazing.
