Will not work

I bought this coffee maker less than a year ago. It worked great up until recently. Earlier this week we tried to make a full pot and after brewing a half of a pot, it stopped and shut off. Now it's not brewing at all. All of the lights are on, the 'brew now' button is flashing, but nothing is happening (this is also happening during the cleaning cycle). This is very disappointing as this was not a cheap coffee maker, and the only fix I'm seeing on this site is to call customer service between 9-6. If this is such a common issue (as I am seeing by scrolling through the reviews) why isn't there a list of troubleshooting ideas we can try with out having to make the phone call? I really don't want to throw out a 80$ coffee maker that's not even a year old yet. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I’ve had my DMX85 for about 5 years and have no complaints. Unfortunately, the silicon tubing with the check valve that connects to the heating element failed because the wire clamps cut through the tubing and now it leaks and draws air, so continually shuts itself off. I’d love to fix the unit, but can’t find replacement tubing. This wouldn’t have happened if flat clamps had been used instead of wire.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Coffee Pot of my dreams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee pot is fantastic. I can have hot water for tea or hot chocolate for the kids going along side coffee for the rest of us. It’s a regular hot beverage station. They are separate compartments and separate covers so they operate independently from one another. It can be set for the brewing strength that you prefer as well as what time you want your coffee ready in the morning. This not only saves me lots of time in the morning I also have a great looking appliance on my countertop that all of my friends are jealous of. I get lots of questions on it and it looks absolutely amazing. It’s also easy to keep clean and the time display is a lovely addition to that section of my kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great For Families

This is the perfect station for families! You can make coffee of choice from the coffee maker, and tea, or hot cocoa (as well as other things) from the added hot water station! It has been such a great addition to our kitchen, it heats up in no time and ready to use for my little ones morning oatmeal. I love that it is programmable which makes it super easy to have ready when hubby heads off to work.

Disappointing

I bought this coffeemaker in December to replace an older Mr. Coffee that has run its life span. Like so many others have said, it is disappointing that it shuts off 2 hours after you turn it on. It takes 20 minutes (since day 1) to brew a pot of coffee so it only leaves 1 hour and 40 minutes to drink it. My done beeper goes off less than half way through the brewing cycle. Sometimes it shuts the whole thing off, other times it continues brewing. The condensation is terrible on both sides of the coffee maker. I have to leave the lid ajar a little for it to dry out and keep it pulled away from the wall because the resevior is in the rear. In my opinion this is a poorly designed coffee maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Several minus points

Bought this and have had issues for months. Filter started folding over during brewing, checked it for proper fit each time. Tried drying out the filter holder before using again. Tried buying a different brand of filters. Then noticed on the bill spout that comes into the coffee filter the water is running into the back part of it. I clean my coffee pot regularly, then this time I got into that and got a little brush and scrub the bottom of that very good and cleaned it and soaked it in solution. Now for about a month it's been fine and I noticed today clogging up and running out the back again and the filter was folded again. Also the steam feels the hot water tank. Make a 12 cup pot I usually get about a cup in that hot hot hot water side.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a good maker for the money

Several disappointing features so far. Agree with the other review in that small space to pour water, condensation of the water when making coffee fills the hot water side so you have to empty that side regularly which means unplugging to empty which erases the time and wake up brew time and mine came with no instruction book so still trying to find a way to keep the coffee maker on after the 2 hour cycle to keep coffee warm. Pressing the start button does not keep the warmer plate on. Not a satisfied customer at all.

We can see where you're coming from, and we'd like to do what we can to help. We do not advise turning your programmable coffee maker back on to attempt to reheat your already brewed coffee. If you turn the coffee maker back on, the brewer is going to attempt to brew and it could possibly cause some internal damage to the unit. We recommend brewing the amount of coffee that is needed, and then brewing another cycle when necessary. HOT coffee!

I ordered the Coffeemaker + Hot Shot station directly from the Mr. Coffee site, and delivery was right on time. Setup is fast, and the unit looks attractive. I drink black coffee, so it must brew right for a satisfying cup. The taste right out of the coffeemaker is great. Best of all, the coffee brews PIPING hot and stays piping hot for the entire time that the heating element is on. If you're tired of taking coffee directly from brewer to microwave, look no further. Best coffeemaker I've owned.
