Thumbs Up From an Aeropress User!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a reason Mr. Coffee has been the leader for so long: it makes very good coffee! I enlisted the help of my husband who has used an Aeropress for years to handcraft our coffee every morning. He tells me water temp is extremely important to making great coffee so he measured the temperature of the water that this Mr. Coffee machine puts out. Regular brew temp is 188 degrees F and Strong brew temp is 195 degrees F. At both temps the coffee tasted very good. The Strong brew produces a flavor that mimics what we get from the Aeropress! The Aeropress intimidates me (and feels like a lot of work!) so I love that I can make great coffee so easily with this Mr. Coffee. We recommend getting a reusable metal coffee filter; my husband recommends stirring the coffee grounds during the brew process (if you want to get fancy!). The kids and I have really enjoyed the hot water dispenser. My only wish is that the water dispenser had an auto shut-off feature. I like the shape and design of this machine, too!

Excellent upgrade from my older Mr. Coffee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this new Mr. Coffee Versatile Brew 12-cup programmable coffee maker and hot water dispenser! We are a family of coffee lovers and long time users of Mr. Coffee brand. Our “older” Mr. Coffee machine has been in use for over 3 years and still runs like a champ and this is a great upgrade that we so appreciate and proud of. It was so easy to setup and program, we had it up and running in new no time! Love the hot water dispenser for making tea especially and family loves the convenience to use it for their oatmeal, soups, etc. If you need a dependable quality and affordable coffee maker in your home, you definitely need to give this one serious consideration.

Dual purpose

Great solution for our needs - would be a great unit for mother-in-law or guest area of a home as well.

Great for the family

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for a few weeks and it's amazing. Not only do I use it but my husband and daughter does as well and they love it also. I use fresh beans and grounded beans both taste nice and fresh and it's easy to use. My daughter loves the water brewer on the side she can use for her teas.

Gets the Job Done in the Morning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker is super solid with a nice set of features. It's pretty simple to set up initially and cleans easily. The size might be too large for someone with very limited counter space, but I really appreciate the hot water feature, which gives this machine more width than some other coffee makers. Scheduling a brew time works perfectly in the morning — I set it, forget it, and enjoy a hot cup when I wake up.

Perfect for my large household!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a big family and often entertain, so with that said, my family and friends love their coffee! As do I and my husband, as we like to get up early in the morning, and enjoy a nice cup of hot coffee before getting ready for the day. I've always had smaller coffee pots, as I did not see the need to buy a larger one, when I could remake coffee. Boy have I been wrong all these years, this coffeemaker makes 12 cups at a time and that is perfect for our needs. I no longer have to spend double the amount of time making coffee, when this does it so effortlessly! I love all of the features included on this coffee pot, it really makes my day a lot easier that's for sure. My favorite feature would be the programmable coffee auto start. It is a perfect way to wake up to a nice pot of coffee without any hassle. I get it ready the night before and go to sleep and wake up smelling my coffee brewing. My next favorite feature is the hot shot feature! We like to make ramen, and quite a bit of different teas and using this feature is so nice, because the water is nice and hot and ready to go when needed. I love hot soups and hot coffee so I am impressed with the temperature capabilities of this. I like that the time is nice and clear and easy to see across the room. It's a handy function for a busy household. Clean up is really easy and has been a breeze for me. I like to use the self cleaning feature, and then every other month I'll give it a more thorough cleaning. I am absolutely impressed with this coffee maker, as it is not just a one use appliance, and it makes great coffee. My family and friends love it and gave often complimented that they want the same one. I love bonding with them over delicious coffee and tea and this machine makes it so much more enjoyable!

Perfect for dual coffee/tea household

This Mr. Coffee brew cup gives each partner the consistency he or she deserves in one single product on the shelf. It makes a 12 cup of coffee, but also permits the use of hot water which keeps you from having to boil water (nope!), use a kettle (so so), or use a separate hot water product. You can also use this to have hot water for instant oatmeal. It's an easy to use, easy to understand, and reliable no-frills product.
