The Best Coffee Brewer I Ever Owned

I have been through more Coffee Brewers then any one person. I just could never find one that either made REALLY HOT COFFEE or that the water didn't have a funky taste. TILL NOW. I absolutely love this Brewer. It is so easy to make your coffee whether it be 3 cups or all 12. I know some people dislike the beep noise at the beginning when its finished brewing and end of the brewing cycle and also when it turns off but to me I happen to find it a reminder that I have a great cup of coffee waiting. I also love the little water station on the side. I make a lot of cup of soup so that comes in handy as it also makes nice hot water for tea. For such an inexpensive Brewer with a lot going for it you can't go wrong.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great concept, poor execution...

We bought four of these for our guest rental cottages, and loved the idea, especially the hot water station - much quicker than heating water in a kettle on the stove. Unfortunately, we've had to return them all as they have all had the coffee water tank clog. As a handy guy, I tried to take one apart to remove the clog, but was stymied by inaccessability - no dice. I tried flushing the water tank while upside down, but it seems the grounds have made their way deep into the heater.
Why every coffee maker doesn't come with a screen to prevent this is a mystery.
Here's my other gripe - the coffee pot itself. The lid isn't very secure, so invariable falls off when pouring the last cup or two, and the silly plastic top adds an internal rim, so it takes an absurd waste of water to clean out the pot - there's always some coffee, soapy water, or coffee grounds from a spillover left in the pot unless I turn it upside down and use the sprayer. Rediculous. The product designers should be sent back to school.

great features - none

this maker has no reheat feature, the water pan will not drain completely. t he brew timer quit working and it will not make coffee. I have had this out of the box and in use about two weeks. now I have no coffee!!!!!

CANNOT restart after 2 hours

Would never have bought if I knew I had to brew a new pot of coffee after 2 hours. What would be wrong with having a safety shut off after EACH 2 hour interval like other coffee makers?

The 2-hour automatic shut off feature on this BVMC-DMX85-RB coffee maker is designed to allow for the freshest brew every time you pour a cup of coffee and to prevent overheating. This also puts your mind at ease in case you forget to turn the coffee maker off. We do not recommend turning your programmable coffee maker back on to attempt to reheat your already brewed coffee. If you turn the coffee maker back on, the brewer is going to attempt to brew and it could possibly cause some internal damage to the unit. If a programmable coffee maker is not essential to you, you may be interested in some of our switch coffee makers that allow you to turn the coffee maker off at your desired convenience.

The non resettable 2 hour time limit

Non resettable 2 hours for the warming plate is a deal breaker. We are early risers and like to linger over our coffee in the mornings. Sometimes we just aren't finished enjoying our coffee in two hours. Old coffeemaker allowed for reset.

We can definitely understand we're you're coming from. Our new and improved programmable coffee makers have the automatic 2-hour shut off feature so that the brewers don't overheat. We don't recommend turning your coffee maker back on to attempt to reheat your already brewed coffee because the brewer will attempt to brew and it could possibly cause some internal damage to the unit. Experienced coffee owner

I have owned this coffee pot for 6 months. I do not like to complain. So yes, like others have explained, the area for you to fill the water is too small - I just take a little more time when pouring the water; and yes, you cannot reheat, so we drink it faster - LOL...and yes, mold collects in the hot water reservoir why too quickly, so we clean it very often. However, the most frustrating thing at this point is the fact that it is just 6 months that I have owned this product and this morning it has stopped working. The Brew Now button is the same button to turn the pot off, so after filling the pot with water and grounds like I do everyday. I go to push the button to brew and it turns off. It does not work or brew. The light only flashes. I saved the instruction book, none of the troubleshooting has worked. So now I have to find an authorized dealer to help with this. This pot was way too much money for all of these problems.

Cleaning Feature

I share the same sentiment as some of the other reviewers. However, I hate the cleaning feature. I came in this evening from a long day of work and was hoping for my usual cup of Joe. Unfortunately, it would not work for what I assume is a cleaning requirement. In my Bunn it only took a second to clean and decalcify. However, after rummaging around for the book, it says I need vinegar and will take 45 minutes! That is insane! I guess the extra time gives me the time I need to write this review from a disappointed customer.
