My son had this phone for three months and it wouldn't turn on. After having Verizon tell us that they would send it back under warranty but it was difficult for anything to be covered under the warranty and that Samsung would send us a new phone and charge us full price on our Verizon bill, I decided to contact Samsung myself.
The Samsung rep was so informative and helpful. We did some testing and discovered it would be covered. I sent out the phone and was kept up-to-date by email on when it would be sent out again. When we received it, it was in factory mode. A brand new phone was sent. We sent back the old one and all is well. Thank you!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: broke after only three months.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great overall device

I received this device on Monday and I must sat it is great! I've never had a windows phone before, so it was different. It is great if your looking for a windows phone. The only thing I don't like is it isn't compatible with my smart watch I got with my Galaxy S4.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: not smartwatch compatible, no fingerprint scanner

This is the best smart phone that I have ever used. Samsung has designed a powerful, smart, and easy to use phone coupled with the best operating system. The windows operating system is easy to use, integrates with Office 2013 and One Drive. This phone is a business tool that helps me perform at an extremely superior level.
Pros: Lightweight, windows operating system

I got this phone as a work phone to get myself familiar with the windows phone platform. It took me a few months to warm up to the OS because at the time it was running windows phone 8. Once the official release of 8.1 came out I really started to enjoy using this device a whole lot more. The battery life on this phone is fantastic, I can't believe how much run time I get out of this thing. I have never had to worry about it running out of juice before I put it on the charger at night. I watch lots of videos on it, stream audio on my commute, and make calls and send sms all day long. I'm also very pleased at how fast this device charges. I don't know if it has hidden fast charging but it seems to take no time at all to get back to 100% charge. I really like what Samsung has done, this phone has some serious hardware in it. It has never lagged out due to the hardware, it renders video like a champ, and the camera takes nice pictures. The windows OS has it's own flaws but I have no complaints about the device itself. It is rock solid and it has really changed my perspective on using a windows phone as my daily driver.
Most of the things I would consider Cons are related to the OS and not the physical phone. I wish it had HD calling, I'm spoiled by having that on my android phones. I would like the settings menu to be more organized instead of a big hot mess.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: no hd calling on verizon

got it a few days ago n i love it,, better the my Iphone!!!love all the apps and the XBox games too!!! great phone!!!

Overall the phone is great. Where it is leaving is applications, but that's not the phone's fault. Another thing is do not, I repeat do not download the 8.1 update for developers. It will cause your phone to shut off on its own and the touch screen will become unresponsive. This actually happened once while I was young this review. I believe this is more of a software issue so I'm hoping it gets resolved. I highly recommend this phone.

Windows 8 OS is great. Much better, easier and user friendly than android or apple. Very well pleased.

Truly an awesome phone but it would be even better if Samsung would make this compatible with the Samsung smart dock. I wasn't sure if I would run another windows phone but Samsung did it right. The technology backing the software is not only capable but on par with current android offerings.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: missing hdmi out via micro usb, lacking compatibility with samsung smart dock
