This phone is by far under rated!!! Its an S4 running Windows 8 with a larger CPU running 2.3GHz. Finally Samsung is listening

Best Phone Ever!!! And I mean EVER

I made the switch from Android to Windows, and will never look back. I had 2 droids and an S3. This beat them all, hands down. Not only does the phone part actually work every time (a problem in Android), but the interface is so much more intuitive and smart. You can pin almost anything to the start screen and it live updates.
If you think your Android is cool, or your iPhone is neato, you aint seen nothing till you drive one of these.
The only thing missing is an app for my bank. Guess what, I can use the web page and it's better than the stripped down android app. I got the full web right here. It is so much better. I don't need the app, I got the real thing.
You've got to check out groups. I can message blast to different groups I set up, and they don't have to be on Windows, but if they are you can share files, pictures, videos, or anything easily .
The phone puts all your contacts information in one spot, so you can see facebook, twitter, email, texts, and linked all in the one spot for that contact. Very AWESOME!!! SO much easier than jumping around to all the different apps.
And the battery last all day. Haven't had a dead battery yet.
I haven't even talked about the IR remote control, the 13MP camera, or the best looking screen on the market. I am not kidding either, it is the best looking screen. My son's iPhone 6 is not even close. The S5 is similar, but the windows OS really makes it pop!!
I love my new phone. Had it about 2 weeks and can do everything I could on my S3 and more.
BEST PHONE EVER!!!! I don't even have 8.1 yet which is supposed to be even cooler.

Love this phone

This is my first experience using windows phone and it has blown me away with the ease of use. The only negative I will say is that windows 8.1 isn't on it. I hope samsung will release an 8.1 update as soon as they can I really want to use Cortana.

I'm new to the windows phone world but have to say that no issues with the Samsung ATIV SE so far. Its been a month and can't complain. Can't wait to see what it can do when 8.1 comes out. I had a hard time to decide between the ICON and ATIV SE but ended up with the Samsung.

Great but no W 8.1

It is nice hardware, lighter, thinner and can accept a memory card and battery which to me made it better choice then the Lumina phones. The screen is very nice.
Many people say it is an S4 with Windows, it's not. it is just a little taller and thicker and the buttons are in slightly different locations which all means that an S4 case won't fit. Not a big deal, easy enough to find a case made for the ATIV SE. But it is also different then the S4 in that is has a better processor. The S4 has 1.9 quad core, the ATIV-SE has 2.3 quad core. All other specs are the same, so this is the better hardware.
The bad is the lack of 8.1 update and no sign of it coming. I contacted Samsung and they have no news. They said I could install the developer preview and that would work but it will void the warranty which I don't want to do yet. I am feeling like ATIV-SE owners were abandoned by Samsung. If I knew that 8.1 update may not come to this phone then I would have not bought it. I figured with these specs and hardware that it was ready for 8.1 and was just released with 8.0 as they finalize the update to 8.1 and it would come soon, well I was apparently wrong.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, memory expansion, replaceable battery, camera takes good pictures
Cons: no 8.1 update and does not appear to be coming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Ativ SE is my third Samsung Phone (had a Focus Flash, upgraded to a Focus S ). In five years, never a problem. All have been Windows OS

I do love this phone, I can remove the battery, it has expandable memory. However, I fear I wont be able to install 8.1 once it comes out. I installed the preview for developers and now my phone continuously freezes. Next time I'm just gonna be patient and wait for the actual update.
