The Optimal Brew is a great coffee maker! Brews fast and makes delicious coffee. Carafe keeps it warm for hours. Coffee is better and clean up WAY easier than my previous Cuisinart.

We have had the Mr. Coffee Optimal Brew for a little over a month. The Programming is very easy and it makes great coffee. We have also ordered a year's supply of the filters. The freshness feature is also nice. I wish that there was some way to keep the thermal carafe more warm while it sets on the coffee makermaker.

Would rate a zero if possible. Half the time the coffee ends up all over my counter. Adjusted coffee grind, amount of coffee, water levels, filters, everything...even thoroughly cleaned machine before every use...still dumped coffee all over my kitchen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had the model from about 3 yrs ago and it was fantastic! It was ruined in a move north (don't ask, lol) That model is not available anymore I guess, so, I bought this hoping it would be like the earlier model I had and keep the coffee hot without burnt taste from being on hot plate. It keeps it hot for total of about 4 hrs (including the first two hrs after brewing). I was hoping i could enjoy the rest of the coffee late morning, but, it's just warm. I like my coffee hot, so I need to then put cupful in microwave to reheat. It works well overall, coffee taste is fine, no other issues, but not as good as the model from 3 years ago. If the long lasting temp is not important to you, then this is good in my opinion.

This Coffe pot is an ungrade from the previous 10 cup with the steal decanter. I have only used this band and style for 10 years and am so Very Happy with this product. It also has a very nice look to it. Works wonderful. Highly recommend. Great price.
