Makes good coffee. Removable water reservoir makes filling at sink filtered water spigot easy. Also filter basket on side so can add grounds and water without moving maker from under cabinet.

Great Coffee Maker That You Cannot Just Buy & Use

I just bought the 10 cup (not shown). Day 2 review: Makes great coffee. I like the removable tank and basket so they can be cleaned and dried. I could not brew coffee on day 1 and had to use my old maker as there is no filter (paper or otherwise) in the box.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Coffee is not enough after brewing 4 or 5 cups, so thermal carafe is worthless. Used it twice and went out to buy another one

Temperamental

This is a beautiful coffee maker and makes great coffee, it is however very temperamental. At least 3 times a week when I hit start, it just beeps one solid loud beep. I have to dump the water, reset everything and start over, sometimes 2 or 3 times before it will brew. It even happens on delay brew. Very frustrating at 5 am.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband and I have had this coffee machine for many years, and are only replacing it because the delayed timer quit working however we will be replacing with the same make and model that we have .

Fantastic coffee

We bought this model to replace a 5 year old Mr Coffee 10 cup optimal brew with a thermal carafe that finally gave up on us. Works great. I did remove and throw away the water filter before brewing our first pot. Every time we make coffee for friends, they comment on how good it is and ask us what kind of coffee we use. Maxwell House, we use Maxwell House. I am confident the optimal brew feature makes a huge difference. We pulled out an old conventional drip coffee maker while waiting for this one to be delivered. The coffee the was totally different, no good. Great machine!
