Design Flaw! Replacement Part NOT Offerred. DO NOT

I went through 3 of these within a year.
The first one was DOA so I returned it (Painlessly--Thanks Amazon!).
The second one was buggy from the get-go, randomly shutting down and refusing to work and then suddenly working again. I put up with it for a few months until it finally permanently refused to power on. I was then amazed by Mr. Coffee's customer service as they quickly sent me a replacement.
The third one worked perfectly until just a few days ago when a plastic screw broke, and this is what I consider a design flaw: A weak plastic screw is used in a spot that gets force applied to it regularly and exhibits vast temperature changes from normal use. It is the screw that holds the water screen that disperses water evenly over the coffee basket. Without this little screw, you end up with a very weak and watery shot, and a whole lot of wasted coffee.
It hasn't been a year since my original purchase, and it's only been a few months since the replacement, so I gave Mr. Coffee a call again.
The first thing they told me was that I don't qualify for warranty.
The second thing they told me was that they don't offer that part for purchase, and I will have to buy a whole new one.
The last thing they told me was that they could sell me a new one at a discounted price. Their discount amounted to about ONE DOLLAR BELOW AMAZON'S CURRENT PRICE...! And about $17 MORE THAN WAREHOUSE DEALS!
Needless to say, I refused.
That screw probably costs them 2 cents. They could have sold it to me for 2 or even 10 bucks, and I'd be perfectly happy. But to refuse to even make it available for purchase...
I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Don't waste your money if you want a latte

The wand never ever froth my milk. The milk and the pitcher was very cool and the wand isn't clogged. The machine is new and don't froth the milk.

Makes good coffee when it works.

I originally bought this coffee maker a few years ago and it made a decent cup of expresso/cappucino. However, in less than a year it suddenly stopped working, just wouldn't turn on. My husband bought another one to replace it (same model) and I have had it a for a few years, but last year it started leaking from the back bottom of the item. The machine still works, but leaks (alot) everytime I use it. it is frustrating and as I look for a replacement I will not buy another one of this model. Still not sure if I want to buy this brand. As I have read many complaints online about this very problem with this model I am flabbergasted that the price of this model actually increased. They shouldn't be charging nearly $150 (regular prince) for an item in which they have yet to fix a commonly known problem.

All of our products that are sold in the United States and Canada are manufactured and UL approved for 110-120 voltage. We do not recommend using them in different countries due to the difference in voltage. Additionally, doing so will void your warranty. Disappointed

I have had this unit for a week, I have used it several times a day since. First of all, it vibrates to the point that that any cup I use moves from under the spouts. Secondly, the filters are always full of coffee when I remove them regardless of coffee brand, grind or tamp.

I have had this for about two years. Either the heating element or the circuit board just died this weekend - I'm not sure which - but at any rate it's time to buy a new one. However, I am keeping the five star rating because I think it's 99% my fault that the thing died...I tend to leave it on all the time. Like, ALL the time. For instance, I've been gone the last four days and left it on the whole time. I'm no expert but I would guess that forgetting to turn it off probably has something to do that it simply burned out over a couple years.
So I highly recommend this product (simple, makes outstanding espresso, very affordable) but if you do buy one, please remember to turn it off after use. Luckily it's pretty affordable - I am just going to buy another one from Amazon ASAP.
