Great Little Machine

I've worked as a barista, for six years and should've written this review, three years ago. My husband got this for me, because I wanted a machine at home. It works great! Never had any problems with it. I make perfect cappuccinos for him and lattes, for me. Perfect, meaning it froths really well; for a cappuccino.
I want to thank Mr. Coffee, for this great little machine.

Best Double Espresso

I bought one 10 years ago that made great espresso, but no crema. I bought an older model of this one about 5 years ago. Again great espresso only this time the crema is better than I get anywhere (except the one place in Little Italy is just as good). Today, it just started spewing water like the seal around the basket is leaking. Luckily, I bought this model for my office 1 1/2 years ago (got an amazing deal right here at mrcoffee.com). I'm using an old mr.coffee burr grinder that I had to alter a bit to get a fine enough grind. I'm such an espresso fanatic that I have an alarm set to remind me to stop at 3:30 PM. Of course by that time I've already had my 3 or 4 double espressos for the day. This maker is not impressive looking, the espresso that comes out is very impressive.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not worth the cost.

I didn't love this machine. It seemed like it was made cheaply. Not very heavy duty. The amount of time it suggested for heating up the milk wasnt even close to how long it took to heat it up. It also frothed so much that I had to scoop out the foam do it wouldn't spill over. After making the drink the machine made a few steam bosses as it was releasing the steam from the machine. If I was going to buy an espresso machine I would save my money and buy a better made one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke after 6-7 months

I bought this for my wife back at the end of April of 2016 and it stopped working November 30th with the flashing lights. It was good while it lasted but not worth the money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Difficult to use

6 months ago I purchased the cafe latte & really liked how easy it was to use & make a latte. Sadly, it quit working. Mr Coffee was very good to honor their warranty, but they no longer make the cafe latte. I replaced it with this espresso maker. While it does make excellent espresso, I found it very difficult to use & clean. You must be very strong to lock it in place, & my hand held frother works better than this one. I am very appreciative of my warranty being so well taken care of, but I sure do wish you still made the cafe latte. This one is just taking up counter space because it is so much trouble!

This makes delicious espresso!

I had one of these for 5 - 6 years, and it makes even inexpensive coffee taste very good. Most often, I would add hot water to make it the strength of coffee, without the bitterness of drip coffee. It is easy to use. Mr Coffee Customer service is friendly and helpful, and a terrific example of what it means to serve in America!

This machine is great. Use to be a barista, I figured it out rather quickly. Some people have complaints but it just took a few minutes to figure it out, wasn't obvious at first and took some tinkering but I got this on lock. It works and it's awesome, you just have to time how strong or weak you want your espresso cause that depends entirely on your timing with the machines knob on the right side, just a heads up! For my ex-baristas out there, highly recommended. To me, because I know how to make lattes and cappuccinos already, it helps me make amazing tasting drinks!!! 5/5.

The Best

If you want a high quality espresso and a high quality machine that a company stands by this is the one. I bought one five years ago and another a few weeks ago. The 5 year old one is still running great. Daughter took it for her home. Easy to operate and makes a great espresso shot. I have had a higher prices one that failed within a year just outside of the warranty. (company would not honor warrany) The one time I had a problem with the MR. COFFEE THAT WAS OUT OF THE WARRANTY IT WAS FIXED AT THIER COST.
