Wonderfully designed

I bought this model a year and a half ago and recently bought a second one for my office! Every detail is carefully designed. It's an unpretentious workhorse that makes fabulous espresso in less than a minute in a compact size. Incredible price for a good machine. I've tried a couple of more expensive espresso makers with Italian names and they were bulky and broke after a short while.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frothing difficulties

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this as a warranty replacement for the one that died on us in less than a year. We love this one but the frother is inconsistent and now the piece to the frother has stripped so now it won’t stay on properly and it’s even more inconsistent. We haven’t had this replacement for a year. The coffee, however, comes out delicious. Pretty good product for the price. Just frustrating that it doesn’t last long.

For the price, you can't beat it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted this machine a few years ago and I've been using it several times a week since then. While I didn't pay for it, I was surprised to see how little it cost considering the quality of the result (get a good grinder to get the best results possible).
I've never had it leak on me like others have mentioned, only overflow if I forget to empty the drip tray. Making more than one drink is a little involved: the single shot cup is really more like .4 shot so it never gets used. The double shot cup can make a full shot if you overfill it a bit, but the result is having to start from scratch to make two drinks. The rubber boot over the steamer is superfluous and impossible to clean so I just leave it off.
Overall, it's been a great little machine. If it ever breaks, I can see myself upgrading to something better, but I'm in no hurry.

Makes great espresso

This machine makes great espresso and really froths the milk well. BUT......get the extended warranty when you buy it, because the pump won't last two years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good for beginners

I have had this for two years. My wife and I both bought each other espresso makers for Christmas. Made for a funny Christmas morning. We returned the other one an kept this one because you can fit larger cups- not big cups but cups larger than tiny espresso cups. The machine is noisy but we have had no issues. The steamer works fine for me but making frothy milk foam for cappuccino takes some practice not because of the machine though. My only gripe is that the two holes where the coffee comes out are very close together whereas a more professional machine will have little drain extensions to allow for two cups to receive coffee simultaneously in a more easily accomplished fashion. So if you are a former barista with polished skills this maybe isn’t for you. If you want to learn how to make a better cup of joe than from a K-cup and not spend a ton of money or take up a ton of counter space then I recommend this.

It’s good but cheaply made

I bought this 3 months ago and just now took it out of the box. I washed it before the first use and after I prepared the espresso and attached the filter holder to lock into place the metal part is now pushed out and the handle is completely scratched deeply. I love this machine but it’s made cheaply especially for how light the whole machine is you can’t put much force into putting the filter holder on or taking it off.

Second Time around....and failed again

I recieved one of these for a Christmas present from my young adult kids. First machine worked about a dozen times, then the lights would come on, but nothing would happen. I contacted the company, and they replaced the non-working unit. We carefully read the instructions, and have regularly cleaned it. It worked fine for a while, but again this morning, same thing. Lights come on, but nothing happens. Tried unplugging it, waiting a few minutes and plugging it in again. Cleaned everything I could, re-read the instructions, and tried it over again several times. It sputtered and tried to make steam once, sounded like the pump was going to work, then nothing. This unit is again dead on the counter. Very disappointed to see the same sort of failure in this machine repeating itself on two separate machines. Miss my morning Coffee. Wish they'd replace it, but wondering if I should just switch to a different company's product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
