I was so pleasantly suprised, and pleased by the performance of the espresso maker. I have been a barista in high end espresso bars in Seattle and the shots that came from this machine definitely stood up to a professional bar. There was the perfect amount of crema, poured about a 15 second shot and was simple to use. The only thing I found funny was you have to hit the shot button to start, then turn the knob to start the shot, like two start buttons, but there were no problems figuring it out. The machine is streamline, easy to use, easy to clean and replaces a Starbucks run. My fave is white chocolate iced americanos. For a 24 oz drink use 1 and 1/2 tbsp good while chocolate powder, 8 oz of espresso (2 shots from the machine at 4 oz each), 1-2 inches half and half, fill with ice and enjoy!!

Easy to use & quick!

I was very excited when I got my new Espresso Machine. I had been limping my old one along for quite some time and finally stopped using it. I was a bit nervous about how this one would work, but right from the first use it exceeded all my hopes. I felt a bit intimidated with the thought of a new machine. I'm no barista and I was worried it might be more complicated than I was ready for. So, I did read the instruction manual thoroughly and was pleased with how well marked all the features were and at the clarity of the instructions. They were direct, straight forward and thorough. It was so easy to use, I had my first latte done in no time! I was blown away by how quickly it heats up and is ready to brew. I like that it can do two shots at once. That helps for when my husband and I both need our coffee fix at the same time. It was very easy to clean as well, which is definitely on my list of important features. The water reservoir has a good capacity and I can fill it without making a mess since it's well designed (unlike some others coffee makers I've had). The frothing arm is adjustable which is helpful. It is a bit of work to get the rubber guard off for cleaning, but I only noticed that because everything else was so easy. It does go back on without any problem. So far I'm incredibly please with my Mr. Coffee Pump Espresso & Cappuccino maker. I haven't had it very long, but it seems to be a quality that should last. I'm not someone who likes to have a lot of "stuff" on my counters.. But this machine has a nice look to it and has definitely earned its place! We're giving it daily work outs and loving it more each day! I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for an easy to use, good quality espresso maker for their home or office. The combination of features and price makes it an excellent choice. *disclaimer - I did receive this item free to test & review - but it is something I would happily buy and use!

Decent machine...

My husband and I drink multiple cups of coffee each day and we drink both drip coffee and espresso brewed drinks. I have used other espresso makers so this review is in comparison to the other machines I've used.
The machine itself is made from a light weight plastic. While I've only had a chance to use it a handful of times, I do question the durability if the plastic and now long it will last without breaking. The water reservoir is removable from the machine which makes filling it relatively easy. However the quality of the plastic the reservoir is made from seems very flimsy and feels like it could easily break. The other challenge with the reservoir is the lid. It opens and stays attached, but again the plastic hinge feels like a low quality that will easily break. Using the machine is easy if the instructions are read. One positive feature is that most full size coffee cups can fit under the dispenser - you aren't required to use the mini cups like other machines require. This is different from other machines that I've used - most require the mini cups. When brewing the espresso, you turn a knob to an "on" position, the coffee drops until you have your desired amount, and the you just flip it back to the "off" position. The milk frother is attached to the front of the machine. It took only a few seconds for the machine to heat back up before being able to use the frother. One negative about the frother is that there is only an "on" or "off" position -'it can be adjusted to allow variable amounts of steam to come through. Other machines I've used have the variable feature which allows you to let less steam through as you get close to completion. There is a cover on the frother, and a drip pan that can all be removed for cleaning purposes. Overall it seems to be a decent machine, but for the price I think a better higher quality machine could be purchased.

I really enjoy using this espresso maker. It took a little time to understand but once you get it, making your espresso is a breeze. I love how it has the froth maker which also takes some time to perfect. I would definitely recommend this espresso maker to anyone who loves espresso coffee. I have already recommended it to all my family and friends. The features are pretty good, the only down side is you have to automatically turn the machine off when you feel like your cup is full, it does not turn off by itself which I don't mind but my husband seems to forget sometimes. Best coffee ever I will use this machine until it gives out on me! Disclaimer: I received this product as a sample to review and am very glad I was able to!

I got the espresso machine a little over a month ago. Although I found it somewhat confusing to get started, once I got it, it went better. I thought making the froth for cappuccino was difficult. I wish it came with the recommended cup. I love the appearance, very slick and sharp. Tastes grate! Overall I give it 4 stars

It has lasted and lasted through a zillion cups. A perfect espresso each and every time without fail. I would definately purchase the machine again!! Excellent price for a solid product.

I bought this machine on Aug.27th and it worked great for a couple of months. The espressos and lattes were perfect and delicious; we were super happy with our purchase. Then, I couldn't get my milk to froth and the machine started leaking out the back/bottom. The milk goes to a boil, and like I said, it was frothing great for a couple of months, but now it won't. I clean it after every use so the only thing I can think of is to reduce the temperature, but you can't on this machine. We also noticed that water is leaking out of the machine. We have yet to determine the source, but regardless, it leaks. It was great while it lasted, but no machine should have a lifetime of 2 months! We are very disappointed and I would not suggest this product to anyone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
