Great product at a decent price!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality features, and end product consistency. I'd read of some issues but wanted to try it anyway and the maker did not disappoint. I can make any kind of "fancy coffee" or espresso beverage, and can also make a cup of basic coffee. I really like the frothing arm, and it's easy to clean! The only thing I'd appreciate is more specific instructions, having to do with the drip pan needing to be emptied every time the machine is used. Also it would be good on the "quick instructions" to add that the grounds need to go into the metal filters. Other than that, happy fancy coffee making!!

PEOPLE: DESCALE THIS UNIT EVERY MONTH OR TWO

Mr Coffee should have a video clip illustrating this. IF YOU DO NOT DESCALE THE METAL SEAM WILL SPLIT AND THE UNIT WILL LEAK. Descaling every month or two will prevent this. You will be shocked at the amount of sludge that will come out when you descale. How do you descale? Glad you asked.
Buy and prepare enough descaling solution to fill the water reservoir. Make sure the descaling chemical is totally dissolved. Have the grounds basket and handle installed. Run the unit until the solution starts coming out the grounds holder and stop. Wait 15-30minutes. Run the unit (I have the solution run into a large mug), discard the solution (notice the sludge when you first start the process?) and repeat until the water reservoir is about half empty. Now to to froth mode and run a lot of steam through the tube to clean it. Return to the espresso extraction mode and run until the reservoir is at the minimum water line. Rinse the reservoir and fill with clear water. Run until the reservoir is empty and repeat this cycle on final time. Don't forget to run through the frothing tube to rinse it. After filling the reservoir with descaling solution once and rinse water twice the unit has been descaled. Repeat this every month or two (or three if it isn't used a lot). Your unit should not fail from split metal seams again.

I received this cappuccino/espresso maker as a sample. I absolutely love it!! I use this machine everyday and it's absolutely fantastic! So easy to use and does a fantastic job! Loveeee loveeee loveeee this machine!!!

Works well, good functionality

This espresso maker is the first one I have owned and it's great. I got into espresso while studying abroad in Europe and of course got spoiled with the quality over there. Although not the same, the quality of the espresso from this Product is close enough. Having dual pump and the flexibility to go from espresso to cappuccino is great for my family since have different preferences. When I first got the machine, I looked it up online and and saw people were complaining about it leaking after only a few uses. I've been using it for just over a month, but have not had any issues and hope that continues. As a disclaimer, I received this product as a sample to review, but would recommend and purchase it again if this one were to malfunction or stop working.

Great value

I really liked this espresso maker. I have been using it for about a month. the only thing I wish it came with was a little container to froth milk in. This machine is very compact and sits nicely under the cabinets. Great value!!

This machine works well and makes good espresso and cappuccino. It's certainly takes more effort to make a cappuccino but it is worth it! It would be awesome if the machine came with a coffee bean grinder. Disclaimer- I was given the machine to review.

A Simple Espresso Maker

This espresso and cappuccino maker could not be easier to use! If you are at all intimidated by being your own barista, don't be if you use this machine. My office has a much more expensive machine with a problematic frother that flies off under the steam pressure (a bit scary), and I was happy to find this wasn't the case with this machine. It steams quickly and the attachment appears secure. I also find the design to be appealing, though most of the product is plastic and not metal like you would find in a higher end machine. The biggest drawback I have found is this machine has not yet produced very strong espresso for me using regular coffee beans. I will eventually buy espresso beans, but I regularly use regular beans on my office's machine and though it's a more expensive machine, the espresso is much stronger. Overall I find this machine to be a decent value for the price, but if you really want a strong espresso or are a coffee snob, you probably want to spend more money on a higher end machine.

I'm writing a review about the Mr Coffee cappuccino/Expresso Maker. This product is truly amazing and easy to use. It makes the best expresso and cappuccino. If you've never operated a product like this, you'll certainly have to read the directions. It is easy after your first time. The only negative response I have about this product is the size of the cup that you can insert under the maker. All my cups were too big. However, I did find one cup that fit. Once I made my first cups of cappuccino and expresso properly, it was a breeze from that point. We filled up the back water holder. We then put the amount of coffee or expresso into the metal scoop. We then lock it into place. We put cup underneath. All the buttons are lit for you to chose your selection. The expresso selection button along with the knob being turned to expresso is what we pushed to make our expresso. Turn the knob off after reaching your desired amount of expresso. It's that simple. Making cappuccino is just as simple. Put the desired amount of milk in your cup and place under the frother and it will froth your cappuccino. This machine is just simply amazing. I love this unique product. The Mr Coffee expresso/cappuccino maker quality is outstanding. I'm very impressed by this product.
