Bought this after our last one quit on us after about 10 years. So far it has worked great, and is pretty easy to use. We go through about a pitcher a week, and it's easy to measure out the strength of our sweet tea with this one.

Don't Buy!!

I bought this ice tea maker in November. 5 weeks later and the glass pitcher has a large crack in the bottom. I was very careful putting in the ice cubes, but the glass is so thin, it cracked after 5 uses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It seemed to take forever to get here; however, after much discussion the tea maker for here. Since I have always used Mr. Coffee tea makers I was familiar with how to use the appliance. This sone is a bit different in the way its prepped for iced tea making but its much more readable, is quicker, and makes wonderful iced tea. It being black makes it easier to keep clean and the black basket shows no tea stains. I have used my Mr. Coffee iced tea makers almost to death and they always make the best iced tea. This one is no different, it makes the best iced tea ever. When I wear it out I will certainly buy another. but I will make sure it gets here faster----now that its here I am ecstatic. Now if you are a klutz I recommend buying extra pitchers---they are reasonable in cost.

I bought this for my twin sister who mainly drinks brewed tea by the pitcher. She'd been boiling water in the microwave, adding tea bags and boiling some more. It took a 30 minutes or more to make her tea. Now she simply puts a little water in the maker and in the pitcher, a couple tea bags, hits the start button and in a few minutes she ready to drink tea. So much easier and faster than before. She said it tastes a little different than her boiled tea, but she quickly got used to it and simply loves the convenience of the whole process.
