Everyone keeps saying don't buy because of the pitcher. But honestly its an awesome perfect brewing tea machin . Low settings for teas like oolong and high for sweet tea. Easy to use. Cleans nicely. Stores conveniently. And any dollertree pitcher will fit under it. Sure you can make tea on the stove or in a kettle. Or. You could buy this. Just saying. P.s you can also make coffee in it and brew directly into a coffee pot for a brunch gathering.

Easy to use and clean thanks to glass pitchers. I purchased an extra pitcher so always have iced tea in the fridge.
Had an older Mr. Coffee for 20 years. Only replaced it as plastic pitchers get discolored and after going thru 4 pitchers decided to get up-to-date.
Mr. Coffee Iced tea makers make the BEST iced tea.

Electrical malfunction

First unit died after three uses... replaced by Mr. Coffee at no charge. Second unit lasted six uses and then the same problem. Unit just dies... no power. Tried holding the switch in with some force like they suggest with no results.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only issue I have is with using the ice. It clouds up too much and is too strong no matter what I do...so my solution is to use water instead of ice. I don't fill to the ice line but a few inces below. It comes out great! I use this 4 or 5 times a week and I live alone - wished I had broken down and purchased one earlier.

I have had several tea makers over the past few years and this one is by far the best I have had. The tea taste so much better and really not sure why but we have gone from one pitcher a day to now making two. My family really loves the taste and I have not changed brands of tea bags so it has to be the tea maker.
