Love This Tea Maker

I have been using this tea maker for over 10 years and I love it. It is so easy to use. I’ve bought a couple of pitchers but I’m still using the same tea maker. Highly recommend!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Owned it for a half an hour and it broke.

I just bought this item new. I poured water in it to do a first run through, following all the paper instructions, and it shorted out. Smelled hot, burning plastic. I quickly unplugged it and now the light won't turn on or heat up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed

We just bought this a few days ago made three pitchers of tea and it quit working. Worked great last pitcher we made. Wouldn’t work today when we went to make another one. Won’t turn on, worked fine before today. Pitcher is very thin, thought I was going to break that first. Definitely cheap quality!! Wouldn’t waste my money. Will buy something different next time. Mrcoffee really hasn’t been what it used to be. Have had terrible luck with coffee makers as well. Should have known better

Quit working almost immediately

I bought this one because I disliked my other one so much. The original tea maker was so much better as evidenced by the comments. I had two of the original ones and they were fantastic. I replaced it with a three quart one with the huge square plastic pitcher. I bought that one because it is the only one you can adjust the brew level. I didn't like it so when I found this one I thought I'd give it a try. Big mistake. It worked exactly 6 times. I cleaned it with water and vinegar to begin with and then used it 3 more times. It didn't work right stopping part way through the cycle the next time. I started over and it was ok. The next day I tried again and it wouldn't work at all. I went back to the old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Melted plastic exposing internal pieces

I bought this as a gift for my wife who makes tea almost daily. I was cleaning it and noticed what looked like melted plastic. Upon inspection, one of the internal pieces seems to have melted the plastic and is now exposed. I don't know how long it's been this way as this is my wife's appliance and she usually makes the tea. This is definitely a manufacturer issue, and very dangerous. I bought this a while back for Christmas. An issue like this needs to be addressed because it's a fire hazard.

Only complaint is you cannot buy ice tea pitcher separately. Unfortunately, we broke ours.

Glass pitcher cracked while making iced tea

I am so upset as I came home to see iced tea all over my counter and couldn't figure out what I did wrong the other day. Well just now I made a pot of iced tea and stood by the machine and then saw the tea pouring out of the bottom of the glass Pitcher. This is my 4th glass Pitcher and the 1st one that is NOT my fault. Somehow it cracked while making the iced tea. I have been using this machine for about 10 years or so. I have used a Mr. Coffee for over 30 years but this is the worst experience I have ever had to date. What am I supposed to do.
