It is very attractive over the alternative Mr. Coffee ice tea maker; but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It leaks and doesn’t totally empty the storage tank. It also doesn’t have measurement lines for batches smaller than 3 quarts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GREAT tea....HORRIBLE glass picture.

This is our second unit we bought. One for the house. One for the camper. LOVE LOVE LOVE the tea it makes. HATE HATE HATE the thin glass pitchers They are classy but break so easy. Two units..two broke pitchers.

I have had this for probably 2 years and have had no problems of any kind. I bought an extra pitcher so one is always ready. Can't understand why people have complaints I have never broken a pitcher but then I am careful would buy again if I needed to. Absolutely the best.

I bought this to have in edition to have along with the one that my aunt bought a long time ago (which still works). While I love the tea that it makes, the glass picture scares me because of the pain I have in my hands. I'm afraid that I will drop it when I'm washing it, and I haven't decided if I'm going to put it in the dishwasher or not after some of the comments that I have read.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst Design & Doesn't Hold Up

I bought this maker maybe 6 months ago and I use it an average of 3 times a week. Went to use it this morning and the push button no longer turns it on. The major design flaw is that you have to slide the top part of the maker away from the base so it can fit over the pitcher while brewing. The problem is that when it is brewing the boiling hot water in the base shoots up through the vents where you fill it and sprays any surface/person standing nearby. I cannot believe they have not been sued over this, or have not issued a recall as this poses a serious burn problem. The other problem with this design is that when you want to turn the unit upside down for the remaining water to drip out and dry, the only way to do so is slide the top part back over the base; however, the water just drains down to the top part, the inside of the maker never dries, and when you turn it over the water pours out over the maker. I've found a way to balance it to keep the top open, but the hinged lid on top doesn't fold back so it really never drains. Mr. Coffee used to have the best product when everyone was buying their tea makers. I had one for 5 years. I've had 3 in less than 2 years. The other 2 models I had prior to this, within a week the button quit working and I had to return it, and the other one lasted less than a year due to the button not working.

Doesn’t complete brew

I bought this almost 6 months ago, from Target.. It was working well, until last week. Now, it only partially brews. There is always water left, in the machine.. We drink a lot of tea and I can’t buy a new iced tea maker twice in a year...
