My other Mr. Iced Tea pitcher cracked so I decided to try this style. Well....my iced tea keeps coming out cloudy. I don't know why!

We appreciate that you've taken the time to review this product. Cloudiness does not affect the flavor of the tea. The scientific reason for the cloudiness of tea is the precipitation of the tannins in the tea that occurs when the tea is cooled. Stronger brews tend to cloud more readily than weaker ones. High quality teas cloud faster than others. Hard water also has a clouding affect on tea. You can add a small amount (1/4 cup) of boiling water into the brewed tea to help reduce the amount of cloudiness. If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call at 1-800-672-6333. I bought this about a month ago to replace an old Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker which I purchased about 25 years ago. I never had a problem with the old one, until it started leaking, while brewing, a few months ago. I was so impressed with the quality and longevity that I made it a point to buy another Mr. Coffee brand unit.

It always worked well and I could have ordered a new pitcher, but I like the new design and it matched my coffer makers, black. I purchased this to replace my older model Mr. Coffee tea maker and I have to say that this is very easy to use. You can see the tea clearly as it goes into the pitcher, not like the older plastic pitcher.

I bought this and thought oh cool a nice new tea maker. Was I wrong. When it brewed the tea did not go into the carafe, but instead reversed brewed into the water chamber. I returned it for a full refund and went to Wal-Mart to get an older model. Which by the way works fine.

We purchased this black unit to go with the new decor of our kitchen. We love using it but are very careful with it because it is glass. We have used a Mr. Coffee Tea Pot for more years than I can remember but it has always been the blue and white one with the plastic pot. It seemed to hold a lot more tea so we are now making tea more often. However, with that being said, it is a great product and looks great in our new kitchen.
