This 20-ounce Container Cup does not have self-detect technology so that is why it won't work for you. For use with Vitamix Smart System Blenders, one would need the Blending Cup Starter Kit: https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/shop/blending-cup-starter-kit

Don’t waste your money!

We received these when we purchased our vitamix and they’re awful. They continually leak even though all seals are intact and are a nightmare to clean. A terrible design and I’d be fuming if I had spent money on them.

This is there best accessory ever made for the vita mix. I have 4 kids and each one wants their own type of fruit. Now I can accommodate them as normally I would make it all the same. Only one problem. I dropped it and the magnet inside broke so you can see it is cracked inside and now has rust inside just where the magnet has the crack. The warranty is amazing so I know they will send me a new one. It doesn’t affect its function.
