Convenient!

It does what it is supposed to do. These are a super-convenient way to make a single drink to go. I can put my fixings in it, put the lid on, keep it in the fridge, blend right before I walk out the door and not have to clean the Vitamix, and then the cup actually fits in my truck's cup holder. I wipe the threads before I screw the top down and I keep them upright like a coffee cup, I don't toss them around but I have never had a leak. When I get home I fill the cup (through the drinking hole) about halfway with water and a squirt of soap then close the lid again and shake it until the sided look pretty clean, then I open it and brush the inside with a brush and rinse. I run them through the dishwasher less often, they fit in the top rack angled toward the sidewall.

I was so excited to order two of these containers – one for a gift. Because I love my 5200 series Vitamix I didn't check the reviews. The two conserns stated also my two concerns. The spout is difficult to open and the lid leaks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NOT Dishwasher safe!

I generally like my Vitamix, but the first time that I put the Container Cup in the dishwasher (on ECO mode), the cup warped and the lid no longer fits/seals. The directions say that it is dishwasher safe on the top rack, but that was not the case with my cup.

Excellent Design and Function

My 20oz Container travel cup came with the flip lid and it was part of the V1200 package demontrated at Costco.
Yes, the flip lid is tight, but that so it doesn't open on its own!
Yes, it is heavier than some other plastic model, however, that's cause its a heavier duty cup!
The lid is cleverly designed with a spout breathing hole to perfectly allow smoothies and thicker fluids to exit from the spout to your mouth.
I cannot comment on some people's posts that state it leaked as I have not used mine long enough to comment thoroughly. I know that the lid has to be snug tight, and the latch to the spout, must be pushed in firmly to a click is heard ... if not, the latch deceivingly feels like it's locked but it's not, so be sure about the latch firmly locked in place.
Love this container and setup.

Loved the look of the "To go" cup so much that I bought two! The only issue I'm having is opening the lid...maybe with more usage it'll get easier?
