Blend and Go!

I've been blending my morning green smoothie every morning for several months now using this container. Love that I can blend and go. I've had no problems with leaks. On the down side - it is bulky but I'm sure the double sided insulation is needed to keep drinks cold. The lid has too many nooks that make it not so easy to clean. The sipper opening on the lid is really tight and difficult to open. However, I'd rather deal with that than have leaks as others have complained about. People have remarked that the cup is huge but I don't think it's too big for blending a smoothie and using for other blending. Overall I'm happy.

I'm sure its great for the S series but too bulky

Two of these came as a "gift" when we purchased our Vitamix 7500. We were excited about it until we took them out of the box. They are SO bulky, slippery, and heavy. It seemed like such a poor design until I came on the Vitamix website and read that they are actually made as personal mixing containers for the S series. This feature makes more sense but as a regular "to go" mug they are just not practical. The only use we will get out of these is for storing leftover liquids.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While I love my Vitamix blender and use it everyday for smoothies, this cup is such an awkward size I've only used it once. I bought it to drink my smoothie in car on way to work, and keep it cold. But normal size straws are too short and fall inside, and I haven't been able to find any extra long straws. It's too dangerous to try to tip this cup back to drink from while driving, and just awkward overall to drink from even at home. It should come with a long reusable straw. For the price, and the quality of Vitamix blenders, I expected better.
